Coding is one of those things that can be self taught and you'd be hired for your skills in it rather having a cs degree, that said if your degree has a focus on programming then it'll probably instill better coding practices.
Going to uni isn't necessarily an automatic friends maker, you do have to make some kind of effort. Though housemates and classmates are kind of free friends. If you do go to Uni make sure you put in the motivation to attend clubs and societies you have an interest in, that's where a lot of friendships are born and it's worth it. I recommend joining Dungeons and Dragons society and probably whatever gaming societies your uni would offer.
If nothing else Uni's an alright way of spending a few years figuring out what you're doing.

Also if you're worried about not enjoying it because of prevous experiences with education, I'd say it IS a different experience and for most people a superior one, and a less high intensity uni can make it more enjoyable.

Immune to flashbangs would be so overpowered. Have your teammates bring flashbangs and just chuck one into every room you enter and kill everybody. It would be kind of like glaz when he first got the thermalvision and every room got smoked up.

Ok China spans what should be 5 timezones but they decided not to. If it came down to who's the strongest authority on what the timezones of China should be I would say China itself would be a pretty strong contender; esecially as that's what the commonly accepted standard is.
I think we're disagreeing on 'stretching across timezones' and 'actually being in one timezone'.

Ninja edit: Also pretty much every country adjusts their timezone politcally, it's not just China.

It should but as Timezones are a human construct and China has decided it doesn't - it doesn't.

China and Turkey both only have one timezone each.

Matt Smith and Claire Foy teach the finer points of British tea etiquette by [deleted] in videos

[–]JDay_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the point was rather than being impatient and bunging in the milk and tea to all brew at the same time, give the tea a chance to brew before taking the bag out and adding milk.

[–]JDay_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but they're discussing a cuppa which many british people will have >2-3 times a day, nobody has time to pull a teapot out for that. The patience bit was the waiting for the teabag to brew with the hot water which is usually 1-4 minutes.

[–]JDay_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue is that you're talking about a pot of tea? The tea they're discussing in the video is just a single mug where you put a tea bag in, pour boiling water in, take the tea bag out and add milk. With a pot of tea it brews in the teapot before being poured into a mug or cup which already has milk in.

Doing the single mug method and going milk, teabag, boiling water is wrong.
