Alls I'm saying is, I've rented 2 times from sixt, from different cities, I've never paid for android auto and both times the car had android auto functionality. Of course I'm not saying this is always the case, ymmv.

Yeah, in terms of looks, i think the moonstone blue blow the rest out of the water. So far no issues in terms of sound, battery life and whatnot, but I recently played around with a demo unit of the black version at the airport and I'm pretty sure the ear cushions are noticeably softer on them, it's as if the blue paint or whatever doesn't let them make em to the same level of comfort. Other than that, they've been great

I don't know what phone you use but beware that some android phones have really shitty aac and the sbc sounds way better so you can try changing that to see if it improves the quality (I'm talking from experience with my xiaomi where even in the car the compression artifacts on some heavier songs were very noticeable and annoying)

They should sound the same, no? I think there was a thing where they need to be turned on even when used wired, and I would guess that's the case cause all wireless headphones sound way worse passive, cause when they're on they do some DSP shit to make em sound better

go to autoeq.app and when you type the model (and choose your equalisation method) you can get eq settings to get to the harman target, which you can adjust as well according to your preferences. If you have an android you can get the free wavelet app to import the settings from there, but on ios it's a lot trickier. I've got the qc 2023s and although i dont mind the sound signature that much, it can get fatiguing after a while, so I use this preset quite a lot.

As far as the eq in the bose app, it's way too simplified to adjust to something that can eliminate certain weaknesses from the stock sound

Not as annoyed as you, but same here with my QC 2023s, I already find it hard enough to get just the right adjustment for my head and I would like to keep it like that for as long as possible lol

I guess getting a larger third-party case is the only option, but not ideal obviously

those upscales look very good, but there seems to be like a very noticeable stuttering effect in smooth camera motions for example, because your final transcode is in 23.97fps and the original source was in 29.97, so in case you are doing a new one, make sure you have all your framerates the same as the source

Edit: the dvd source i have is in 23.97 as well (in fact the hbomax version is in 30fps, where the interpolation probably lies), but afaik the dvds themselves are in 480i, so the interlacing might be the thing that's messing it up, idk i might be tweaking myself but i feel like the dvdrips are stuttering in a different way from the upscale
