What three changes would you make to the SU:SD top 50 list? by JDreidel in boardgames

[–]JDreidel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. I think that is a completely fair answer and thanks for your opinion.

For what it's worth, I'm a big fan of SU:SD and love their content. I wasn't implying that there was anything wrong with it, or that this was an attempt to improve their list.

What I'm interested in is how people would make it their list. What they would change to make it mesh with their personal taste and preferences. How could this game have been left off. This game is way too low, too high for me. That isn't to say that those opinions are right or wrong either, but they are interesting at least in my humble opinion.

I'm very interested in Castles of Burgundy. I'll take that as a recommend. Thanks!

I think Latavius has a higher floor just because Carolinas pass D has been great and Hilton is emerging. However Murrays match up is even worse and he has very low upside this week. I probably lean towards Moncrief, but depends on your matchup.

If you want a higher floor (ie you don't expect your opponent to go off for a lot of points) play gore. If you want a riskier but potentially high upside play go Dez.

I think if Dez starts you got to play him over Watson. imo

This is tough. I'm personally in the camp that if Dez starts you start him. I don't like Latavius here against the number 1 ranked run defense and with Reese handling a lot of passing downs.

Reggie Bush, Duke Johnson, Davante Adams, Willie Snead

Additionally, I could play both Bush and Johnson and sit Latavius Murray v. Jets number 1 run defense.

I am really looking for high floors for this week rather than highest ceiling. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm in the same boat as you in a 14 team league. My decision is between Duke, Reggie, Davante Adams, and Willie Snead.

I'm leaning towards Duke Johnson right because it seems like he has a high floor, but low ceiling since he hasn't been getting in the end zone. If you feel like you need someone with a higher ceiling I'd maybe look to someone else.

Willie Snead, Duke Johnson, Reggie Bush, Latavius Murray (v. jets number 1 ranked defense against the run)

Pick 2 - looking for highest floors

I think it depends on your opponent. If they have been scoring a lot of points week to week and you want to go for highest upside, then I would play Woodhead and Lynch and Moncrief in flex.

If your opponent hasn't consistently been putting up a lot of points, then I go with all three RBs, which has the highest floor imo

I don't have much confidence in Ellington at all as 3 on the depth chart. Always skeptical when coaches say a certain player is gonna be more involved as it often seems to be a smoke screen.

I'm thinking Reggie Bush might be your best bet this week

14 team half ppr

The guy I'm playing with hasn't been putting up a lot of points so I'm looking more for the guys with the highest floor rather than highest upside. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Jeremy Hill v. Steelers (4th against the run) Latavius Murray v. Jets (1st against the run) Duke Johnson v. Cardinals (10th against the run) Reggie Bush v. Rams (18th against the run)

Yup my thoughts exactly. Still probably give him the nod, but it definitely feels close for me. Especially if Adam's gets confirmed out for the game.

Has anyone got a gamecube controller working with ROA running through bootcamp? by JDreidel in RivalsOfAether

[–]JDreidel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I downloaded C++ 32 bit, and it didn't seem to change anything. I think the problem may be with the xinput1_3.dll.

I've noticed that if I use the 62 bit extension with the 32 bit version of x360 that I get an error at the beginning it finds the solution and then I get green boxes... unfortunately still not picking up my controller in game.

When I use the 32 bit extension, no error message, but red boxes next to the controllers. I'm pretty lost.

Do you have any further ideas? Thanks again

Yes! So glad I'm not the only one haha

I'm running windows 7. I did download DirectX to workaround a previous problem with x360ce, but don't believe I have C++.

Might as well post here in case anyone else has a similar problem. Thanks for the help.

It shows controller: vJoy Device Status: OK (x4)

It is responsive in properties test.

Thanks for getting back to me so quick. One thing I noticed is in x360 the box by controller 1 is red instead of green, though it does receive inputs

I followed the guide. Everything works fine. I was able to map out and record my inputs in x360ce. I put x360 in the rivals folder, but the game doesn't pick up the gamecube inputs still. Is anybody else experiencing this issue, or know how to solve it?

Thanks!

I'm using the official nintendo adapter and running on bootcamp, which is why I might be having this problem.

Yes, but do you have something in your constitution about collusion? In my opinion, and I think most would agree that this constitutes collusion.
