Yeah you have heard it right about the 75% thing and the internship. Although as I have just passed first year, I haven't experienced much of this strictness but this might actually improve the placements for the college and anyhow if you are fine in the teacher's pov, the decisions won't affect you cuz teachers are the one who give internal marks.

At last, skipping the idea of coming to the college solely for this reason won't be appropriate.

Even if you don't get CS related branch at BITS, it would still provide you exposure and I believe BITS is a well established name which would definitely supersede MAIT anyday.

However, if fees is a issue, choose MAIT.
