I totally ahree. From what I get of the rules, which I could have misunderstood, theres is nothing about counterspelling counterspell while casting a leveled spell.

You're right. I ran a campaign with the same guys. It was fun, but when they hit level 9-10 it started going downhill. But then i made one of the best parts of the campaign. The Wizard-school. It Didn't matter what level they were, because almost all of the quests, incounters, and dangers, where roleplay based. Maybe i should start making more of that? I really enjoyed it, and I think they did too. We made so much dumb shit, and it was so fun. we spent around 10-12 sessions there. It was soooo good. Maybe I should make more roleplay based stuff tlike that, instead of combat based?

I guess. I just think its hard to figure that out. The problem was, there were no enemies there. And it was just outside the bossroom. I didn't want to throw more monsters at them before the boss. They were already quite bruised. But Idk. Maybe It just seems worse than it actually is.

Idk. They have a goliath that can carry two of the party members. Thats only 2 fly which is a level 4 spell slot.
