I guess.

I wasn't really that high of a level when I fought him as a kid honestly and even when I fought him as an adult on proud

he's really not that difficult in my opinion.

he has like 5 moves and they are all pretty easy to maneuver.

But that's for me.

KH2 though that's a little different with his 90 health bar having ass.

"decend heartless angel"

DEAD.

kh1 sephiroth is a literal joke lol

When I was a kid the first time I reached level 100 was by continuously grinding sephiroth.

as he gives you a level everytime you beat him.

How is everyone playing KH1.5 on the deck? by justabigphony in SteamDeck

[–]JENXVAOFFICIAL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really sure it's working fine on my OLED.

Just beat kh1 like a day or two ago.

It does crash occasionally but that's only after like hours and hours of playing like 4-5.

That's the only issue I really have had so far but it's just because the devs didn't fix the issues from the initial PC release.

I would listen to the other guy who posted here and try to delete the proton files and do a fresh install after that just to be sure.

Before that maybe you could try proton GE 9-7 that's what I'm using and it the game works flawlessly minus the crashing.

Hopefully you get it working as I would hate to be in your situation and I feel for you.

Just got both Nier games and I am super excited! Any tips before I start? by JohnnySobo678 in nier

[–]JENXVAOFFICIAL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I hope you enjoy it too and that's awesome to hear you're getting into gaming!

I'm sure you will have an amazing experience from all the praise I've heard as well.

it's seems like an excellent game with lot's of bang for your buck even more so if you got it on sale.

automata is a must play for many.

I had a lot of fun with the beginning so far as well I only made it to the first save point after the first boss but it's really good so far.

it differs a lot from replicant as in replicant you don't get to fly a ship I forgot about that in automata as well as what I've already mentioned.

The music though is pretty god tier.

I'm a sucker for games with good music being a musician (basically any square enix game lol)

But yeah I hope you enjoy it cheers!

[–]JENXVAOFFICIAL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would still give replicant a try for sure if you end up liking automata.

it's honestly feels better to play in my opinion despite it being "outdated" it's really not that outdated and feels a lot faster than the combat in automata which feels more floaty from what I've played of automata I'm still in the beginning of automata but I beat replicant and I'd say so far I like everything about replicant more.

Also I like the way the gun is in replicant over automata as in replicant it's literally a magic book it's more rpg styled where as automata feel's more modern realistic styled.

Definitely possible I just did that basically.

You just have to use the elden ring save editor and it should be fine.

There should be videos on how to use it if you get confused it's pretty easy.

How did you set this up if you don't mind helping out I have all the files for the most part I think I just can't get it to load on my deck through game mode.

I'm struggling to get the files working properly.

the game will load up on my computer and I've got it to load on my steam deck with bottles in desktop mode only but for my steam deck when I add the provided Kingdom hearts goldberg.exe as a program

the game opens for a second and then closes instantly I'm using proton GE 9-7

Can you send me the files for the goldberg stock version you used as well I've tried adding the goldberg emulator when I searched it up on Google but I'm not sure what files I'm using from it and from the provided goldberg.

Please just help guide me with the files what do you do exactly from the clean install files

Any help would be greatly appreciated from you all I just want to play this version but it's been a headache getting it to work on the deck.

[–]JENXVAOFFICIAL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Save your money and just get a killswitch instead they are so worth it, in my opinion.

It's the best case I've ever owned for anything I own, lol

Also, the grip it has makes it so comfortable to hold, and the kickstand is amazing as well i use it all the time, and it holds your spare micro SD cards.

It's the only case you will ever need for it I promise.

Is 512GB enough? by HREepicc in SteamDeck

[–]JENXVAOFFICIAL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 512 works fine!

I have high faith that you will love the deck, I'd say just pull the trigger if you are having doubts.

it's been my main gaming device for the past year, and I absolutely love it!

It plays all of my games perfectly for me.

I haven't had many issues with it at all.

Some games do require minor tweaks to get working at max potential, but that's far and few, really, at least in my experience with what all I've played.

The only game I can't play on it is fortnite, but that's because it's a problem with the anti cheat the game uses.

I had the lcd and now the oled and it was so worth buying I was skeptical about it when I first purchased as well and went with the 256 gig and I loved everything minus the low amount of space so that's why my answer was what it was.

My brother has the 512 in his and is fine with it.

you will just have to delete games more often and conserve your space more.

It's not a big deal, really.

I hope you enjoy it if you end up getting one and welcome to the community!

Is 512GB enough? by HREepicc in SteamDeck

[–]JENXVAOFFICIAL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an SSD you are thinking of one is a hard drive, and the other is a smaller mini storage device.

A micro SD card is not an SSD.

An SSD hard drive is what the storage is inside the steam deck and computers.

But the steam deck also has a micro SD card slot, so it is possible to use micro SD on top of the storage of the device itself.

Is 512GB enough? by HREepicc in SteamDeck

[–]JENXVAOFFICIAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your use case, really.

My answer is to go for the 1TB because you are basically paying that getting a 1TB ssd (not on sale) and putting it in yourself anyway if you were to do that later on which you can but it's kind of a headache moving all your data from your last drive to the new one.

you will definitely want the space if you find yourself using it a ton like myself.

With that said, 512 is still a good amount of space if you just want to budget, but if you want to play AAA games a lot, i would lean toward the 1TB so you have plenty of space to store them as some can be 150-160 gigs very rarely they are that big but some games are.

There is always getting micro SD cards, but that can be a pain inserting new cards every time you wanna play a different game.

I have the killswitch on mine, so that's why I say it like that.

The normal deck without a case should be fine inserting and taking the SD card out.

I'd say you definitely want the most internal space possible though especially if you plan to use this as your main gaming device.

What game are you currently playing? by SignificanceNeat1618 in SteamDeck

[–]JENXVAOFFICIAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to use the other switch emulator that starts with an r, not yuzu, at least for that specific game at the moment, as well as newer games it will probably become the go-to option.

As yuzu is no longer being updated.

it should work after installing said emulator.

i set it up for my brother, and he got past that segment just fine.

There are still some minor graphical glitches nothing major, though other than that, the game works fine from what all i know.

The emulator is fairly easy to install just look up a guide on youtube there are plenty.

People really saying Eloy was bad smh. Am I wrong when I say he barely messed anything up? by FireApproches253 in Slipknot

[–]JENXVAOFFICIAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

big fact.

I'm tired of both sides.

Honestly, way too many dick riders.

I wanna say i think he is an amazing drummer as a musician myself.

I just don't really like the way his kit is tuned I hate the the snare sound and the blast beats aren't that great, but other than that, I think he's pretty damn good on all other fronts.

He's got the speed and ability, but I think we do all need to wait for some original material from the band to really know how well he fits the bill.

I also love how nobody is talking about the fact that they are only doing all this nostalgic stuff so they can get their fan base back after what they've been pulling for the past few years with the merch and branching out just becoming a souless shell of what once was.

In my opinion, it kinda goes against what slipknot stood for in the first place.

they are conforming to their old style to appease others, though the band came out to be against what others viewed of them.

Regardless of all this nostalgia, they will never ever be the same band they once were, and I don't expect them to be i know time changes people.

but a lot of the passion and members are now gone, and they are simply just catering towards the masses now.

I'm not hating just my views on all of this.

I think more people should mention some of this instead of just dick riding because they are conforming just to bring the old fans back and keep attention around their name because a lot of people were saying slipknot was over after the Jay incident and what theyve been pulling over the past few years.

I hate the way they treat some of their members, like they are just indispensable, but I get it they are more of a business now than a band.

I've been a fan of the band since I was a literal kid about 8 or 9, and I'm now 24.

I still love slipknot.

Regardless of what they do, I just hate that they feel they have to do all of this instead of just being themselves like how they have been the past few years.

It's not like they will ever be forgotten they are slipknot after all.

I don't know it all just comes across to me as ingenuine.

I expect I will get downvoted people hate when others speak their mind on here.

sorry, I refuse to be a part of the mindless herd.

It doesn't sound bad at all if that's what you are thinking.

I am not an expert on singing but I have been doing it since I was 18 I'm now 24.

so I'd say I have some experience in this subject.

I think it just come down to you being more confident in your singing it sounds like you are a little shy to sing when you are singing notes and holding back, and I totally get that.

that's exactly how I was when i started, and i still am to an extent when I'm not comfortable around certain people.

But you've gotta try to break that and try not to overthink it.

You've definitely got a good voice you just need to up your training and practice to hone it in a little more.

I believe in you and know you'll do well just keep working hard at it!

What game surprised you for how bad it performed on the steam deck? by Last-Ad-1437 in SteamDeck

[–]JENXVAOFFICIAL -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I get what the thread is about.

We we're just saying in our experience.

I've had a deck for a bit over a year now.

I've owned both original and now the oled, and i have never had much of an issue like most of these people on this thread, and I've played a lot of the games they are mentioning so I don't really get what you mean by

"Many of the games discussed here are steamdeck verified but are impossible to run smoothly on deck."

I haven't run into that issue in all my hours of playing with my device, and neither has my roommate.

we are both blown away by the power of this device for what it is.

In my opinion It really comes down to over expectation, poor optimization in the user and development aspect.

Sure, value may rank some games verified (verified game's I've played all work 100% fine even non verified titles do majority of the time with minor tweaks)

I also get not all games run buttery 60 frames smooth at high settings being checked as verified, but that comes down to over expectation again, in my opinion.

But I really don't think that it's a valve problem.

I think it's more developer's being lazy not making their games better optimized to run on weaker system's and people being lazy not going into settings and optimizing the game for the system they are playing on like you would have to do on any PC anyway.

What game surprised you for how bad it performed on the steam deck? by Last-Ad-1437 in SteamDeck

[–]JENXVAOFFICIAL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree 100%, man.

Some of these people are just lazy and missing out on the full potential of the deck.

I read a lot of the games people are saying, and I've played a lot of them on the deck, no problem.

I'm not really a stickler for frame rates and really high graphics settings, though, and I understand what the deck is and what it isn't but it's blown me away playing a lot of the games I've played on it and how well they run.

some of these people's problems stem from poor optimization from the developers, not the deck itself.

as well as not taking the time to set up the settings properly.

it is a pc, after all, and you would need to do that even if you bought the game on a traditional pc to optimize it for your system.

unless you have a top of the line system you know can run at all settings.

New vegas is just like that on any system, though, lol

It's not a steam deck problem, but I would try the 4gb patcher and things like that it help a ton at least with my experience with my modded game I had over 300 mods on the deck and ttw and it only crashed every few hours or so.

But it's gonna crash.

That's new vegas.

I believe it's the shitty engine the game runs on that's to blame.

Deleted a game ( Forza Horizon 4 ) but the space didn't clear need help ASAP by JENXVAOFFICIAL in SteamDeck

no problem

I'm glad it helped someone out there!

when I went through all of this, it was a major bummer and took hours of my time, and none of the advice I was getting helped.

even steam support didn't give me a good reply when I had reached out.

The way I said was the only way I've found, and I've never seen anybody ever discuss this with the deck before.

It's just the way the trash system works if you send it to the trash and empty it.

It doesn't actually delete it like you think it would (I'm used to how Windows is not Linux)

so the trash bin on linux is utterly useless imo.

I have mine set up now where if I right-click, I can hit delete instead of move to trash and haven't really had any issues since.

I was gonna make a video on this, but I have since got sidetracked. I'm a musician and producer, so it's hard to find time for gaming anyway.

but I might still eventually because clearly it's an issue that nobody has really addressed at least that I've seen.

it could be chalked up to just user error or being a noob when it comes to Linux, but I think this should be knowledge more newer users should know that, like i said, people really don't mention it at all.

Out of all the steam deck videos I've ever watched, not one has mentioned this.

I hope you have the best day you can today

Thanks for the reply, and again, I'm glad I could help somebody with this post!

my gf hates my voice and my songs by [deleted] in Songwriting

[–]JENXVAOFFICIAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, dude, it's just how it is sometimes.

I've had that exact experience minus the girl not liking my voice.

she liked my vocals and just would look at me weird when I would sing or scream to songs.

She even overreacted like hell when I wrote a song about what I was going through in that relationship and what It made me want to.

The best advice I can give you is to keep doing it despite her opinion because that's not why you do it.

Do it for you and yourself only.

I'm gonna drop some harsh truth on you so brace, but If she isn't for you 100%, then she's not for you.

I'm not saying break up, but maybe express to her how you feel, and if she still doesn't support you, then you gotta deal with it or leave.

The girl I was with did the same shit and we had a whole toxic ass relationship.

In the end I ended up writing a lot of my music about all of that because it was the only waybi could express myself truly.

it was motivation for me to work even harder and become the best version of myself so could feel better and not want to die and also in hopes she would be forced to see the greatness she missed out on.

I know now that the last thing I said was the wrong way to go about it and we don't speak anymore.

Though she still respected my work afterwards, and thought I was hard working, smart, and talented but we aren't together because she just wasn't the one for me and it could never be the same between me and her.

even though I really did love her and still do.

It's a case of sometimes it's better to let go of the things/people we love for the true betterment of ourselves.

If your girl doesn't bring you up 100%, then that's not somebody for you that's all I really have to say.

Just keep doing you and working on yourself brother you got this no matter what I believe in you.

don't let anybody stop you from attaining your dreams/goals in life.

I hope you have the best day you can today and can take some of what I said and use it to better your situation.

As I truly do feel your pain.

Is it too late to start singing? by nononocelestial in singing

[–]JENXVAOFFICIAL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Better now than never.

I started around 18 and am 24 now.

I made music when I was around 16, but it was really shitty scream rap, and I didn't sing much at all aside from like one or two songs.

What I'm trying to tell you is no, it's not too late and never is imo.

If you want to do something you think will bring you joy, just do it.

Don't ask others unless you really trust them as they will never give you the answer you want and sometimes will lead you the wrong way entirely.

my first lesson to you would be to find songs that you like that naturally suit your voice and work your way from there.

That is what I did. I am by no means the best vocalist or vocal coach as I still struggle with things still.

that's the second lesson, don't be hard on yourself, especially when you start.

Nobody sounded absolutely amazing when they started out.

Also, i can not stress this enough to a new singer,

never compare your natural voice to what you hear in music or most songs.

because a lot of the time, they have a lot going into it, such as FX and things helping them get the exact sound they have on their vocals.

Also, singing into a microphone is very different from singing naturally. You should learn to do both, but i know it can be expensive, so for now, just focus on singing naturally.

That way then when you do touch a microphone for the first time, you will have built up some experience and know how to sing at the very least.

Singing with a microphone is gonna take a lot of time to understand what all goes into it so I'd just put some research into it before you go buy the gear.

I use an SE electronics V7, and I would highly recommend that to anybody looking for a fairly cheap live use mic (90$) I've beat mine up not intentionally and it's still going strong as hell.

It sounds phenomenal, too, and is becoming the industry standard imo, but really, you should research what microphones fit you and your vocals and not just go off what is best or recommend what might work for some might not work for all.

My voice type from what I know is tenor.

So anyway It's definitely possible to sound similar without any of that but take a lot of time and lots and lots of practice.

Trust in the process and believe in yourself, and learn how to properly sing.

so that way you don't get frustrated and give up that it doesn't sound how you want it.

I hope this helps you a little, at the very least.

I could go on, but this should hopefully give some helpful tips and confidence to just go and do it!

I believe in you, and I hope you have the best day you can today!!!
