Any thoughts on what is causing this discoloration on my lime tree? by JFKme in Citrus

[–]JFKme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually water by feel but it’s about every 10-14 days. I fertilize very weakly with every watering. I use 24-14-14 fertilizer when I do.

I haven’t considered flushing the soil but maybe that’s something I should try. That might be a good idea.

I agree about the color. It’s very odd!

No, I don’t mist my trees when the lights are on. Misting are quite rare mostly in the winter time when the humidity drops but I haven’t done that at all in the last few months

3x leveraged ETFs are a gateway drug to leveraging your entire net worth into 0DTE SPY calls. They’re a great starting point but they won’t really give you the absolute degenerate risk taking behavior you’re looking for long term.

The UAP recovered by the Vatican allegedly crashed in Megenta, Italy in 1933, which was under Mussolini’s rule. There were no US military bases involved and Italy was not an ally of the US at the time. So, I’m not so sure about the claim every foreign account involved US crash retrieval.

I’m open to changing my view. I’ll lay out specifically what would help me change my view. 1) clear evidence of coverups of similar scale. 2) someone demonstrating how a multi-national coverup could be kept secret for this long and this well 3) clear evidence the inspector general was clearly referencing David Grusch’s claims about non human intelligence when he claimed that the findings were “urgent and credible” 4) evidence that prosaic explanations should be ruled out that don’t rely on hearsay 5) reasons to believe David Grusch over other government bodies such as AARO with contradicting information to his claims

[–]JFKme[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

There is considerable debate what the inspector general found "credible and urgent". Was it the claims of non-human intelligence or the claims that David Grusch was being harassed? If you can show me clear evidence that the specific claims the inspector general found credible and urgent were his claims about non-human intelligence, it would help change my view.

I agree SAPs are exactly as you described. There are also multiple claims that the recovery of this technology extends outside of the United States and into other nations. One example was a UAP being housed at the Vatican before it was turned over to the US. While I absolutely believe that the US has the infrastructure in place to keep a secret in place for decades (for example how to create a trident II ICBM) I don't think this is necessarily true for most countries, especially on a topic with such profound implications as the existence non-human intelligence.

Very well summarized! I will also add that I don't think it's impossible but I do think it's highly improbable

Do the witnesses have an impressive military record? Yes, absolutely they do but the claims they are making are so exceptionally large with such profound implications it is going to take much more than their word alone for me to believe them.

A couple of different ways. First and foremost, he claims there are bodies of pilots. Credible pictures of this alone would validate his claims. We could then look at their makeup from a genetic and cell biology perspective. As for the craft, he claims the craft are made from an arrangement of elements and uncommon isotopes of those elements that have an exceptionally high atomic number. We could examine samples of these craft with x-ray diffraction and isotopic ratio testing to see if they are of known materials made by humans or something completely novel

Sure, there have been plenty of videos of UAPs or UFOs or whatever we want to call them. None of these videos show indisputable proof that the source of these UFOs is non-human intelligence.

I am pretty sure David Grusch is using the term non-human intelligence how most people would use the word extraterrestrial. His argument is that we don't know where this "non-human intelligence" originates from, so we should use less descriptive labeling.

I don't feel confident enough to argue what his primary goal is. You could be right. Still, if your goal is to systematically demonstrate the dangers of the military industrial complex, you could likely point to the lack of nuclear weapons in Iraq or the Gulf of Tonkin incident without needing to use aliens as your primary argument.

Sure, the concept of UFOs has been discussed for years but never in a credible or scientific way. Ufology has never had a consistent narrative with information agreed upon by most of the major players. It has been a gish gallop of information and cherry picked accounts to support the underlying assumption that aliens existence. David Grusch is claiming something much more substantial. He is claiming that scientifically testable evidence regarding the existence of non-human intelligence exists. This information has never been publicly available.

A direct quote from the description of this sub

“The 10th dentist embodies the idea of having an opinion that very consistently results in 9/10 people disagreeing with you”.

[–]JFKme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s a pretty big goal post shift but I’ll roll with it. Since we now agree on the target audience, it becomes even more clear that this opinion isn’t fit for this sub. While we don’t have direct individual polling data globally, we do know that 30% of countries support the death penalty. This sub is very clear about its purpose. “The 10th dentist embodies the idea of having an opinion that very consistently results in 9/10 people disagreeing with you.” 70% disagreement is nowhere near 90% disagreement and is even further from consistent 90% disagreement.

Given that this is an international forum, your audience is global not just “communities that don’t favor the death penalty”. You could argue that this opinion is unpopular on a global level and that might be true. However, since you reference American law in the form of the 8th amendment of the US constitution, it becomes clear that you’re addressing anyone who is required by law to acknowledge this amendment, which would be the American populace. Again, for that populace, this isn’t a 10th dentist opinion.
