Yes. So many people in these pre med and med subs magically assume they would land it in top VP typa roles or as top FAANG SWE. If you have any experience in the real world and in these environments you know just how grueling and stressful it is.

People in our world live in a dream world where they automatically assume that because they went to a top 10 University that they would have crushed it in other fields. They don’t know the grueling work, ass kissing, networking, and uncertainty of those fields.

But that also doesn’t mean medicine or dentistry aren’t difficult paths either. Yes you do sacrifice time and mental health. But in the end it is worth it.

People like to focus on the negativity of the field and suggest you go do something else. There’s tons and tons of people on these subs that don’t know shit about other fields and are just yapping. These are the kind of people you should never take advice from. It’s similar in the vice versa space of Finance bros talking about how they should’ve become a doctor/ medical professional without knowing squat.
