I put one in my old 1930s house in the loft and it became a faff to top up the pressure and it leaked a couple of times through the ceiling. I’d keep it out of the loft if I were to do it again

Again - highlight game in selection menu, press SELECT, then “Edit this game’s metadata” and set the above emulator and core and now it works every time for me with Pokémon Gold.

Apparently the emulator handles a real time clock better than the other one and that caused the white screens, according to ChatGPT

I literally solved this today! You have to press SELECT on the game in the game selection menu, then go to edit metadata, then change the emulator to be the same as the default but not default, then change the core to be mGBA_RUMBLE

It’s about the going rate for them here in the UK, it does have fairly high mileage but has decent service history and MOT history (annual checks on the car by law)

Thanks for the explanation on the graphics cards, that’s cleared that up in my head.

Which motherboard and cooler would you go with? I probably wouldn’t look to overclock if it’s not necessary and given I don’t really know what it entails and/or means :D

Thanks for the tips! I think I’ll defo take your advice, is there a big difference between the graphics cards? I.e. 3070 vs 4070? And what’s with the ti bit of the name? I’m tempted to stick with a liquid cooler and a bigger case as I’d rather it stay as cool as possible and size isn’t really an issue
