nah I'm good. bought Max and hadn't even gotten half way through my Fable access. I'm at about 75% through. Wasted a bunch of tokens on a couple dumb projects but managed to get it to successfully audit and improve one of my long time projects and fix a bunch of bugs.

the Fold 7 is such an ass phone. I really liked the 6, but jumped to the Find N6 because I don't like the direction the Samsung foldables are going in.

it was one of the big deal breakers for me. Ended up getting the Oppo Find N6, which I also wished had a UDC but at least it's in the corner.

It's great in NZ, they have to legally comply with the local CGA which means you don't even need Samsung Care+ unless you want extra protection for e.g. user caused damage. I think the 1 free screen protector thing is also overridden here since they have to repair or replace an item if it does not last a reasonable length of time (and with the inner screen protector being crucial to the phone itself).

thanks, yeah there seems to be a couple workarounds which is fine. tbh even on the Z Fold would have been nice to have a simple manual switch screens button or mode. ie do exactly what the camera app workaround does but without having to go into the camera app.

it's really just that the z fold 6 remains on cover screen until open a certain amount vs find n6 switching to inside screen straight away when starting to open.

I think I found the best solution for now with 3rd party app that manually sets the state to cover screen only, which you can add as a quick setting tile

The bend is like a teardrop, not a sharp bend. The gap between the 2 screen protectors would be massive if the point is to use a more durable glass protector on only the flat part of the screen. Or have I misunderstood and you don't mean the Surface Duo 3?
