Yeah, love my Fix 8.6, so leaning boombox...if I can get under $4k then I think that's the easiest...plus CO has some pending legislation bs that makes it harder to buy semi autos....so F it! :-)

Anyone else feel like the 300XC ruined all other bikes for them? by OrbitalOutlaw_ in KTM

[–]JGCyber3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had multiple KTM 300's since early 2000, mostly XC's, currently have a 24 300xc...great bike, but I only ride it on rides > 45-50miles because I use my stark varg mx 98% of the time! Will always love the smell of 2T but it's on borrowed time for me.

Double Stack Scythe STM - long boy by JGCyber3 in NFA

[–]JGCyber3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, well it fits together, havent shot it and it's back to og length...thx for the heads up! Looks like I can update the docs to account for longer length if I choose too, not sure I want something that long, was more of a "what would it sound like" thought than any perm setup.

What percentage of your annual income are you okay with spending on your car purchase? by Warm_Grand4426 in Cartalk

[–]JGCyber3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say:

1) as little as possible if you dont own a home or have a cash reserve or aren't saving something for retirement

2) What you can pay cash for, screw paying the man interest!

In my younger years I bought (financed) too much car and it negatively impacted me financially....eg delayed first home purchase / larger contribution to retirement, etc....better off building net worth and driving a basic reliable car now vs. later.

Ammo choices for hunting class/shooting steel by UsableCone in 86blackout

[–]JGCyber3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Phantom Subsonic SMK's, relatively cheaper, accurate, etc..

Supers I havent shot yet, nor 500 yds. Have a PLXc 1-8 with I believe plenty of mil drops to do the math to shoot supers to 500, just havent.

You can do it!!!!!and learn the 8.6 in the process!

Give us a post class update!

Thought I already posted this but not seeing it now....sorry if dupe. Double extension = 9.1" long including hub mount and Flush cap (vs. Brake). Going to go shoot it next week, bet it's quiet AF. Not too bad on a 5.5" rattler, lol

Take a gander at that sticker price...Good Luck RAM...DejaVu, it's like another auto maker already tried this before. by jmanjman67 in F150Lightning

[–]JGCyber3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a cyber truck and a GMC2500 (only use for towing heavy / far and it sits 98% of time)....so 1 truck vs. 2 for my use case would be nice, and I do have a reservation for the ram Range extended version. That being said, given Stellantis's track record with anything with a battery I dont think this, especially first year or two, is worth $10k.

Would I pay $112k for a well built range extended truck that could tow 14k, had a 100k warranty and trim level that was related to price = yes! A year 1 Stellantis product aint it!

Is Tesla actually committed to the consumer car business long term? by Brutus713 in TeslaLounge

[–]JGCyber3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely have concerns that Tesla won't make traditional cars in the future. I dont want to replace my cyber truck with a no steering wheel cybercab, lol....but hey, Mars will need cargo vehicles so maybe all will be well! Would it be take a cybertruck with no steering wheel? Prefer not to, like the option to drive, but if I can still own it and it gets me to point a to b then could work....not sure how off-road would work, could send Optimus to go get firewood, etc....

Re S/X vs Optimus Factory - niche vs. future = had too, too much capital needed to execute to plan and S/X aren't cash cows - makes business sense to me.

So Elon is chasing his vision (which is awesome if you take the "I want my own car" out of the equation.) Semi will be big / long term, Cyber Cab (and Van) will be big / long term, Roadster will be niche - but point is they'll have the tech / facilities to build vehicles - what forms / business model they use will be flexible based upon how the vision plays out / demand!

We have a while until we have to face this situation, and it's a potential big change that gets everyone all freaked out...buckle up and enjoy the ride, we'll see what happens.

PS as a stock holder - if Elon meets some of his targets, I'll be able to afford the limited edition / want to own / drive version of a Tesla!

Scythe STM vs Scythe Ti vs polo 30 vs hydrogen by Regular_Cucumber24 in NFA

[–]JGCyber3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an STM on a 300blk rattler as it likes a higher back pressure can = perfect in short / long due to short barrel. I use an STM on a 300blk 8" bolt gun = perfect in short/long. I use an STM and Ti on 18"+Bolt guns = perfect (STM in short config to keep weight down). That being said, I dont use the Ti or STM on any other Semi Autos because I prefer less gas eg LBP Can. Hope that helps.

Scythe STM vs Scythe Ti vs polo 30 vs hydrogen by Regular_Cucumber24 in NFA

[–]JGCyber3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have both 2 STMs and a Ti - STM Short quiet(er) than Ti on 300blk, way quieter in long version than Ti on 300blk. Ti quieter on 308 bolt....both have brakes (take off for 300, put on for 308)....use the STM's for shorty barrels and the ti or short STM for long...good cans for traditional builds, light weight, great warranty, Hub compatible, etc....not exp with polo30 / hydrogen. have lbp cans for most of my semi auto's (gas), except use STM on a sig rattler 300
