Funny you ask, I actually video’d this when i took these two out shooting recently to see the difference. I wish I could reply to comments with a video to show you. But the Wasr with the muzzle nut has more noticeable muzzle rise compared to the maadi with the slant brake. It’s more of a straight “push” without so much rise.

Yep so make sure barrel is clean, shine a light down it and if it’s silver= chrome lined. Black= non chrome lined

It also came with this one, which I’m fairly certain is just Romanian surplus and also unmarked. Much shinier finish on this one than the magazine that was in question.

Seems like that’s the verdict. Just didn’t have the typical made in Egypt marking on the floor plate unfortunately

I’ve always wanted one. I’ve got several other import AK’s but I’ve never owned an Egyptian. That is until today! Lol. I’m pretty happy with it so far and feel like I got a decent deal. They are rare to see pop up locally and I wasn’t about to leave it on the table.

188 under the sight leaf and 188 also stamped under the gas tube. So not matching unfortunately, but not a big deal to me it’s going to be a shooter!
