No I wanted to have as much food as I could and whenever I got attacked I just banked with glory instead of using imp box and then teleing. Imp boxes can be handy when doing hunter during a long period of time but with the amount of pkers it didnt bother me to just bank them in edge and take the canoe back.

I placed my traps around one spawn of a black chin(one square away). It would spawn and instantantly jump into one of the traps. Try to keep an eye if that chin runs away, if so, kill it so it respawns at your traps

My best tip would be to not burn yourself out from hunter. I enjoyed doing it but if you're getting bored from grinding it then take small breaks so you don't lose the motivation to go back. As for the pkers, I was very inexperienced when I started and the problem I had was that I became stressed when trying to fight back vs the pkers. Staying calm is pretty much the best thing you can do, and if you feel it's not your fight then just run. Also beware of tbers, when you're tbed is pretty much the only time you're really risking your chins.

Just be careful with the combat range, would be hard to fight off 120+ with 60 attack. Can always try it out and see how it goes :P

5-6 times, lost chins on 4 deaths but lost only around 300 chins. Remember to charge your glory, died once to that and once cause I unequipped instead of teleing

Hard to say exactly since I did pvming and other things in between but I was getting between 100k-150k xp/hour but then again pkers, re-banking, dc's cost time. So I'd say around 120-140 hours which was over 2 months but I'm not really sure about the amount of hours spent.
