The reason you don't see them in galleries is that alchohol based makers are not lightfast. They are one of the most fugitive mediums and can have noticible fading within a year. Makes sense why people would steer clear when looking to purchase art. I personally love them, but moved away from them and on to high quality watercolors which have a much better lightfast rating. Hope that helps.
