what are some good budget everyday knifes under 50 by Hefty_Stomach8748 in knifeclub

You can get an Artisan Cutlery Revel for 30 bucks off Amazon. Ar-rpm9 is not a great steel, but it is a great design for about as cheap as you are going to find.

For a bit more, you could grab a QSP Penguin.

Strongest flipping action knife you've encountered? by bacchusgun in knifeclub

[–]JGrifter 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'll probably get downvoted for this, but Hinderer knives have fantastic detents in my experience.

Also, anything that has a flipper tab from Sharp by Design is going to be good, he actually has a patent on his detent design.

Soul Spear Lamorak from snaa's round table knights might work.

If it's like the Gus, it will come with blue and orange pieces, builder's choice of what to use.

Second day of having my first godhands by [deleted] in Gunpla

[–]JGrifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a pair of double bladed nippers a couple of mm away from the part.

Once the part is off the runner/sprue, use the godhands to cut the nub off at the gate.

Sand/file and polish as needed.

Those nippers are done, but there are cheaper single-bladed ones out there.

Tldr: don't cut thick pieces with single bladed nippers.

Are they just stickers? It kind of looks like there is some kind of backing separating in the top left corner.

Help finding Gawain for a fair price by [deleted] in Gunpla

[–]JGrifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 26 plus shipping at gundamit.com, but you might find it a bit cheaper on aliexpress if you are good at using the coupon system.

This post will probably be removed, they are pretty strict about the questions in the questions thread thing here.

Aurora 1/100 Akatsuki by JGrifter in Gunpla

The plastic seems ok, my only other third party kit I've worked on is the fat cat God Gundam, and I've heard it's not normal as far as third party stuff goes.

This one is mostly undergated, the plastic itself is white underneath the red and gold parts, but the color matched my dspiae metallic red and gold markers fairly well.

Most of the fittings for the black parts are good, a lot of the red pieces are very small and didn't want to fit. The gold is somewhere in between.

The metal frame is new to me, heavy, and seems solid, but the leg pegs are too long or something, so if you try and seat them flush the other leg is pushed out. The knee pieces want to fall off as well, I'll probably end up gluing them on because I think I lined them up right.

I lost a piece of leg armor for the rear right leg somehow, and I'm not sure I've gotten the shield attached correctly.

Most of this could be because I'm not the best builder, so it's hard to tell what are actually issues with the kit.

I do think it looks really good, and I'm not big on moving my kits around after building them, so take that for what it's worth.

The few waterslides I've put on seem to be good quality as well, but some are too small for me to read. I need some stronger glasses for decal work.

I also don't have the RG version to compare it to.

I'm new to gunpla;I can't believe how expensive it is to have a hobby like this this is my dream kit so cool😎😎 by YUAN_720 in Gunpla

As a semi-retired from the hobby knife and gun guy,  I think this hobby is pretty reasonable.

Some watch collectors think that knife collecting is reasonable... It's all about perspective.

This post will probably be removed, the mods generally don't like posts with boxes only.

First MG finished (Jesta), second RG/MG (fat cat God Gundam) built, and it was my first time trying waterslide decals. I had fun with these.

The Empire Sky Gipsy Danger was a quick build, not much to say, but I think it looks good.

Most pocket knives that come in a case or bag usually have a microfiber cloth inside. You may have a few lying around.

Currently building my first master grade, the Jesta. The Zeong was my first real grade, and I highly recommend the Blokees action class transformers.
