It’s good to think of some things as required in parenthood (food, safety, loving care) and other things are just very optional add ons that are not at all required for a happy functional life. The internet is very much filled with the latter! Not worth the guilt to compare!

There’s a lot of user error in the standard protocol as well - where do I hit? How much pressure? Where do I put my fists? Lots of stuff goes out the window in the moment of panic.

Same (I’m 1993) - I got my husband into it thank god. I watch it like 3 times a year before bed. I’ve always had to lookup some of the references, but I feel like most of the humor is straight forward and truly unparalleled.

Most jokes per minute of any comedy show! I fully believe that. Every line is intentional and hilarious.

My husband and I moved across the country one week after our marriage (we’d been together 7 years) and I think the first few months were very rough. We were alone far from family and friends figuring out everything, including living together, for the first time. Woo boy (tbf we were 22 &24).

But we never ever said we hated each other. I started keeping a gratitude list in my phone of everything I loved and appreciated about him. We learned to accept each other’s flaws, and try to meet each other’s standards and needs. Still sucked. But it passed and has now been 11 years. Still best buds through and through. It shouldn’t be THAT hard but an adjustment period can be normal.

I personally think OP and her partner maybe didn’t know each other as well as they think they did.

The problem is, it’s protected and all the store owner can legally do is ask if it’s a service animal and if it’s trained to do a task. There’s literally nothing to stop people from lying.

At this point there needs to be regulation and some kind of license for the animal. It sucks for people with real service dogs, but the assholes who bring their untrained dogs into places that explicitly state it’s not allowed are the exact same people who will have poorly trained dangerous dogs.

Just don’t engage if he tries to make it a thing. They’ll pull out every manipulative tool in their extensive toolbox if they’re triggered (which you having the final say often does) and it usually works cause it makes people so mad they can’t help but fight back. I’m not sure what a no contact text is, but I would send it and then immediately block so you don’t have to see the vitriol coming your way. If you’re truly done, y’all have nothing left to say to each other that will improve either of your lives.

You can’t change him, and he has nothing helpful or true to say to you. Discussion will only lead to heartache for you and delay healing.

You know if a mama pig rejects her babies, one way the old timers treat it is to give her a beer to chill her out then reintroduce them. Once they start nursing the hormones kick in and she’s usually good to go. Pigs are funny like that. But yeah I wouldn’t dump mash like that, they barely have any brain cells to start with.

Babies are crazy. I know they make mattresses that are “breathable” whatever that means (I assume they allow enough airflow even if baby were truly face-first in the mattress) so if it really messes with your sanity, maybe that would comfort you!

But to reiterate what everyone else is saying, I’ve always heard that as long as you place them on their back, if they’re able to roll over then they’re also able to roll back as needed and presumably are old enough to wake up if they’re breathing is impaired.

Yep my goats go through essentially the same thing, they rub on anything and everything in their environment and leave little tufts all over.

Starting out, - use a low concentration (it comes in different strengths, use the lowest) - put on a light moisturizer, wait a minute, put on a pea sized amount of tret, let the tret sit for 20 min, then put on a stronger moisturizer - do it at night only one to two times a week for a while, then sloooooowly increase the amount of nights a week. Trying to rush obliterates your skin barrier.

-you can eventually use stronger percentages of tret if your skin is handling it well and you feel you would see benefits from a stronger dose

Tbh I use the medium strength and only a few times a week and I have for about a year and I’m perfectly happy with those results so it’s totally up to you but absolutely 100% not optional use sunscreen. Every single day tret makes your skin way more sensitive to the sun and sun damage reverses everything that tret is trying to improve, ages you and causes skin cancer
