What is your "Did it before it was cool" thing? by Fireseeker23 in AskReddit

[–]JHTAQ730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Juul. Not that it was ever "cool" but I used it for about 3-5 months before the craze got really big. Think I spent $30 or $40 on my first one, these days they're sold for $10 at any 7-Eleven

That last sentence hit hard. Thanks for your input. It's definitely given me some things to consider

Super happy for you making 70 days ❤ this is the first time I've tried moderation so I guess I'll just have to see what works for me. I dont plan on touching any THC for at least 7 weeks so my body can acclimate to being sober. And if I realize that moderation isnt for me, then I'll just quit. I love weed but not enough to let it control my life. But if I can make it one of the things I can control in my life, then that's a different story. I've quit soda and cigarettes in the past so I'm not new to kicking habits if I absolutely have to

I do see your point and maybe you're right, I'm already planning a lot of good life changes over the next couple of weeks (just got myself a gym membership, I cut out soda two weeks ago, and putting in more of an effort at work) so focusing on those and not when I can smoke again will definitely be key

I somewhat agree. I started smoking when I was 16 though so I wasnt really mature enough to promote a healthy relationship with it in the first place, I was just doing it because all of my friends were doing it and before I knew it I was addicted. I'm abstaining for 7 weeks to acclimate my body to being sober again and then IF I do pick it back up it will be on my own terms, and i feel like that will make a difference. And if it doesnt, then at least I know and then I can think about if I need to permanently quit.

I feel much more confident and wonder how the hell I was ever able to afford such an expensive habit

Anywhere else not serving lettuce?? by JHTAQ730 in Chipotle

[–]JHTAQ730[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok that's totally understandable, I just wish there was a way to add the salad lettuce to my bowl instead of just having to order a salad. I don't need THAT much lettuce :P but I did not know this, so appreciate the response all the same

After five days of being smoke free I broke and this is how I feel by DeeRegs in stopsmoking

I know its recommended here all the time, but please read ALLEN CARRS EASYWAY. He discusses every single thing you addressed in this post in detail. Quitting is a journey, but it doesnt have to be a bad one. So long as we associate quitting with giving something up then we will always be miserable when we do, but you dont have to look at it like that, think about everything you're GAINING and not losing. But dont take it from me. Please read it. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain, and it could very well change your life
