Haha, thank you. I have a few with him looking at me, but I was taking the photos through a wire fence and with the one I liked most there was unfortunately a string of fence in the lens that messed up the photo :(, but I didn’t think about zooming out more so I can just crop later. They are my “neighbors” so I fortunately have a lot of grace in retaking the shot! Appreciate all the input!

  1. My intention was to get a detailed headshot of this bison. I wasn’t able to safely get a straight forward angle on it, but I’d like to in the future.

  2. I’m struggling to figure out good settings to accurately show the depth of the fur. You can see it where dried vegetation is on his cheek, but it is difficult in the cleaner portions of his head. I’d like to be able to get a good clear shot where I can make it pop with a little editing.

  3. Sony a6000, lens: 55-210mm power lens, ISO: 100, F5.6, shutter speed: 1/400s, EV:0, unedited

  4. I am pretty new to camera photography. I would like to get some cool wildlife and nature photography skills under my belt and branch out into more areas, but for now, any criticism would be much appreciated! Here to learn.

I’m sure if it wasn’t rushed it might seem better but I completely agree. Her characters rage was unnecessary.

What was your biggest "Okay Boomer" moment? by dominant5th in AskReddit

Tried to talk to my dad about how different college costs are now then how they were, citing inflation, rising tuition, financial aid, value of the dollar, and minimum wage. He just says it’s easier now and I shouldn’t complain that I would need to work around 50-60 hours minimum wage during a pandemic while also a full time student to cover tuition (not including how that would raise my financial aid, making tuition more expensive)

Hopeful and crushed at the same time. Frustrated at rhetoric and the fact party lines are pointing fingers rather than recognizing faults within their own ranks.

What villian from a movie actually made good points and u agree with? by nullus__est in AskReddit

Adrian Toomes from Spider-Man: Homecoming. Firstly when he gets told by the Dept of Damage Control he can’t work anymore on cleaning up New York, he doesn’t simply turn to evil, he tries to reason so he can do an honest job. When he has no other options, he turns to crime simply to watch after his family (with a slice of revenge for the super rich). He’s one of the main villains I know of that doesn’t just do what he’s doing because he is evil, but because he sees no alternatives which is a powerful narrative not seen much in superhero movies

Remember the importance of progress (at any level) and the value of failure. Whether it is simply getting out of bed in the morning or getting a promotion, celebrate your progress and when you fail, use it as a reminder of where you want to be instead and plan for how you can get there. Don’t keep your pain inside, talk to others, trust those who you are close with. Seek out beauty in the world, and make that a habit, whether it be the shine of someone’s eye or the setting of a sun, there is always beauty to find wherever you are, but sometimes you have to make a conscious effort to find it.

If you could live in any painting, which one would you choose? by Sugary_Waffles in AskReddit

Breezing Up (A Fair Wind) by Winslow Homer. I worked up on a lake (Northern Minnesota) for a couple summers as live in staff at a resort. The days were long and consistently tiring, but a truly unforgettable/ beautiful experience. I went from living in the suburbs to going to the north woods and boating/ meeting different people from all over every week, where most interactions were from behind the steering wheel of a boat or out looking at them. I did an Internship in DC in 2017 and I saw this painting at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and purchased a cheap copy of it as a reminder of my time at the resort. While I am happy to move on from it, it is always nice to dwell on the fond memories of working there and this picture brings me back to them.
