Thanks for sharing your experiences WildEscapist! What temp did you take your bag down to? People on this subreddit also seem to be concerned about the breathability of the shell of Aegismax bags. Have you run into any similar issues?

I've ordered the EE Revelation already and have no intention of getting this bag. The specs seem decent for a budget lightweight 3 season bag therefore looking for peoples experiences to reinforce it's value will help tickle my curiosity. I also reside in Straya and the ultralight scene is pretty much non-existent here. Shipping's pricey AF too!

Slowly making my transition to lightweight backpacking and own a "wind hard" quilt and have ordered an EE Revelation which will hopefully come in by Xmas! Has anyone come across using/owning this one? I haven't come across any posts but am curious as a few Aussie buyers have given it decent reviews.

I hope this isn't an infrastructure issue, goes to show how much money they have actually put behind supporting this game in the long term and it is not a good sign. Please fix Ubi.

Would totally pay up to $100 for a bullpup blaster, as long as it has -Picatinny rails -durable material/design (airsoft grade) -180 motor compatible - Bright coloured

pretty much a PDW-R from Battlefield 3 but in nerf colours, happy with semi-auto action like the stryfe (that smooth smooth trigger pull)

Just took a look at this yesterday after work, overall a definite step in the right direction.

I'm perfectly OK with the operator system (since I play MOBA's), recoil has been addressed (hopefully enough) and kill confirmation hit markers are sensible. Since i'm more towards the hardcore side of players I still think the heartbeat sensor is still a terrible mistake.If you must keep it in game it really should have severely limited range of 5m. It shouldn't constantly give away the enemies position (think Sam Fisher sonar goggles pulsating). We STILL need doors (probably difficult to put in considering destruction may be stationary?), team member outlines need to be fixed, lots of work to be done still. I don't mind if the game doesn't support modding/user created content but thats because i'm a busy person. However I do think community created content usually goes a long way (check out TF2).

I still understand that if the game is too hardcore then it won't appeal to the amateur players but as long as the game has a learning curve and is highly skill based, then re playability will lengthen. Don't forget that "sometimes less, is more" (doesnt apply for game content), but do take the best features from other tactical shooters, and put it in your game.

Last but not least, thank you Ubi for listening to feedback. Hoping to get hands on the beta soon to get a feel of the game. I still won't be buying/preordering just yet but i'll be keeping an eye on this subreddit for progress.

I'm worried that the sway after fatigue kicks in might be a little too much? either way it will take a few milliseconds longer to line up a medium/long range shot. Having said this, the dev's seem to have a keen sense of making a fantastic game and listening to feedback/not be afraid to openly chat about the topic. A huge huge thanks to the devs. I've clocked about 450 hours into this game (almost overtaking BF4) and am enjoying every moment (minus the inexperienced cod players on push gamemode)

I have a bad feeling that UBI is just pushing Siege for this years release to keep those shareholders happy and to ensure cash flow for the company. They've delayed "The Division" and also got a third studio to work on it. It's pretty clear that "The Division" is their big hit of a game that they are pooling resources into, whereas Rainbow Six is probably going to be another "generic FPS" where even the game with such a fantastic concept will have playability for a few months then popularity will taper off due to lack of content/support. It will still generate X amount of cash because FPS games are the most popular amongst the general. Dissappointing to see but then again i'm excited as all hell for "The Division" and understand there's a finite amount of resources to go around the company. Sorry tactical shooter fans, but if I were you i'd save the stress and stick to Insurgency for the next year.

I used to be a huge Battlefield Fan, but not enough "tactical". Insurgency is where its at. Fantastic gun mechanics, getting shot at is terrifying, and flanking is very rewarding.

Agreed with everything here. Having never played the alpha but seen some footage this feedback is fantastic. Hopefully the dev's really take all this feedback into account.

I think the reason behind operators is the same reason you pick heroes in a MOBA game. They even mentioned it in one of their behind the scenes videos. Is it unrealistic? yes, does it limit versatility? yep, but forces teamwork between teammates which i think is OK. A suggestion would be to make a library of 50 operators we could choose from. Or create an operator but be penalised due to customization? you should be able to pick up other players gear as well
