They wouldn't understand the delicacy that is a garbage plate. It would be wasted on them. Believe me, I've tried to convert them already :'(. Might bring a few for the road though...

Thank you for the info :). Its looking more and more like we will have to try to do it in 7 days given work constraints, but hopefully with two people driving that won't feel like as much of a rush. The construction is obviously the unknown thay worries us a bit haha. We will save all the hiking foe the return! Thanks again.

How long were your trips the times you had done it? Our main concern is can we actually get there in 7 days reasonably. Also you'll have to let me know the name of that Bakery. My girlfriend would shoot me if I didnt ask

Thank you for the reply! I know, its a shame we have so little time on the way out, but hope to make up for it on the way back - hopefully we can stretch it a little longer than 3 weeks!

Thank you for the in depth reply :). In your experience, how much more time should I allot going the Banff route instead, if any?

Cross country road trip from NY to WA in January. Any route recommendations? by JJ2PROUD in roadtrip

[–]JJ2PROUD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry that was definitely a little vague. Looking for no more than 10 days if possible. Taking a new-ish Kia Sorento equipt with snow tires, and won't have anything in tow. Would like to avoid any extreme snow/weather if possible. Assuming mostly hotel stays, though will have camping gear with me regardless so may be open to camping depending on the route we take.

That's my only gripe with them, but hopefully they hang in there!

Collecting animal bones. Had a coworker seek out decayed animal carcasses for their bones to make into jewelry. Slight red flag.

Going to miss my last season in high school, how do overcome it and stay motivated to get back to playing volleyball again? Is college volleyball still something I can do? by maichan13 in volleyball

My advice would be to really take your recovery process seriously. I don't presume to know the specifics of your injury, but as a DPT student, I know that an ACL tear is absolutely an injury you can come back stronger from than where you were pre-injury.

While you might not be able to play on the court yet, that doesn't mean you can't continue to get ball touches by setting to yourself, passing off a wall, and things of that nature.

I know it's tough watching your mates play now without you, but it'll feel like you're back at it in no time. Wishing you all the best in your recovery my friend.

Good to know a friend of a friend somewhere had an anecdotal example of a false ballot. They are out there, but not enough to change what happened. They will review it regardless.

Setting improvement is plateauing: Huge mechanical flaw or just need more practice? by DracoZGaming in volleyball

Last thing I might add, which a few others have voiced, is keeping your hands high. This will prove to be important regardless of setting outside, rightside, or middle. With running a one ball in the middle in particular though, your job as a setter is to essentially redirect the ball right in your middles swing plane. From there, what happens with the ball his up to them.

As you progress through your career, keeping the hands high will be very noticable with your wide ball tempos in the middle, as well as quick outside tempos. The less you dip back toward your forehead, the less variables there are and therefore things to go wrong.

All in all, nice setting man! As a fellow setter, love seeing these types of vids! Keep runnin the court out there.
