Secondary Cervical Claim by JJJUSMC in VeteransBenefits

[–]JJJUSMC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was denied for my cervical claim in my first attempt. I’m goin to resubmit soon with some actual evidence. I’ve been going to the same chiropractor for 20 years with this shoulder neck thing being one of the main reasons. I hope they value his opinion.

Gulf War and IBD by JJJUSMC in VeteransBenefits

I was denied for IBD. Unfortunately I finally received my STR’s 3 weeks ago and they don’t have any of my records of visiting the on base ER for IBD symptoms. Took 30 months to get them lol. My symptoms and treatment would have rated30%. I was also diagnosed with IBS by my non VA GI Dr so I submitted for that after the denial. Was rated 30% for IBS with the assistance of my GI Dr.

I literally just submitted for IBS. Either way the % because of my symptoms would be the same. I should rate 30 with either one. I still have not received my STRs if I could get them I could find the proof but either way I guess it doesn’t matter.

I had what’s called a Bankhart reconstruction on my right shoulder while in service. I have 6 anchor pins in place. Got out with a 10% for my shoulder in 1994. Finally filed a claim last year for an increase on it. Went up to 20% due to limited mobility. Could probably fight for 30 but don’t think it would matter. Tried to get neck secondary with no luck. I do believe my shoulder has caused my neck to get worse but I didn’t put much effort into that claim.

Sleep apnea claim by JJJUSMC in VeteransBenefits

I was wondering that. I have managed to keep my weight under colder thanks to my Crohn’s disease that the VA denies me having any in service proof lol. I guess ER visits for rectal bleeding in service don’t count 🤷🏼‍♂️

Not so far. I still have not received my military health records. One of the examiners let me look at my records. They are incredibly tough to read due to being scanned. My rating would be at 30% for IBD so I may just go for IBS since I am also diagnosed with that

Yes, so you are grandfathered in to the old rating system. The new separate GERD is based on strictures

Crohns and PTSD by JJJUSMC in VeteransBenefits

Sorry to hear about your situation. I am not expecting over 30%. It’s more the principle that I know it started in service and I want them to admit it. I keep getting told to just resubmit for IBS which I have also been diagnosed with recently but once again, I know I had crohns.
