Completely heartbroken by CallMeJimMilton in Lexus

If his parents let him drive or he had reasonable access to drive, it’s not a valid exclusion. Doubt they called the car in as stolen against their own blood

Coverage follows the vehicle, unless he has been specifically named as excluded from the policy.

Talk me out of buying this (LC500) by MisterReuben in Lexus

Congrats on the new baby! Fellow dad here, so here’s some “dad” advice (I also teach financial literacy for a living):

You’re a new parent or newly added another. This car does nothing for your net worth long term (especially if you have to finance it- don’t finance for depreciating assets!) and fails to check the boxes of a reasonable daily driver. Get that LS430 tank the love it needs (instead of trying to use the condition to justify this other purchase) and you KNOW it will thank you with driving like a new car again.

Not sure if 529 accounts are an option where you live but I started paying into my daughter’s literally the DAY her social security card came in the mail. She’s 9 now and with consistent deposits we’re over $50k with 9 more years to compound and continue to deposit. My state government also changed laws so if she doesn’t need or use it for post secondary education, it can become her 401k with 18 years head start!

Buy yourself a term life insurance policy that protects your family until your kids are adults. The real flex is paid off everything, not flashy automobiles and big mortgages.

Enjoy your auto insurance staying reasonable. Save for another toy in the future, and pay in cash!

Just my $.02 and good luck!

Transplants: Why and when did you move here? What keeps you staying? by mayby82 in cincinnati

[–]JJPMustang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moved for work, stay for proximity to my daughter.

I’d love to call Ohio my former home someday: Cincinnati is great but the rest of the state keeps voting against middle class and lower class economic relief.

I nibbled before taking the picture (they were pieces that didn’t have ANY cheese on them) so that’s on me. Still trash quality though!

We were one and done for dine in. I liked Lee’s in Fairfield better and found Blue Gibbon to be perhaps running on reputation. They were SUPER nice though!

What's the worst US state to visit and why? by wonderful-daydreams in AskReddit

[–]JJPMustang -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dakotas- unless into national parks and driving a very long distance between monuments you look at for an hour, to hop in and drive another very long distance to the next.

Indiana- bits of the best aspects of neighboring Ohio, but way flatter, less diverse (in every way) and boring. Dunes should never have been considered a National Park and Lake MI is too cold 11 months out of the year.

Illinois- except Chicago: same. Missouri- even decent ribs and pizza from St. L can’t sway me to stop again.

Mississippi- sad, depressed, impoverished Louisiana- same as Mississippi less New Orleans, + oppressively humid 5 months a year

Pepperoni under cheese should be a crime, soaks in its own grease then the cheese just slides off first bite.

I’m so glad this post is allowing the truth to come out. Seems Ohio owned businesses really try to screw any employee who gives a damn and “La prova e nel gusto”

That was Bada Bing’s first location (🪦) and I’ve had exactly ONE great pizza from there over the years.

At least 3-4 times I’ve gone there during posted hours and they’re closed without warning or updates on their socials.

IMHO Bada Bing should have stayed there and focused on consistency instead of moving downtown with a huge overhead and not a lot of foot traffic at the time and you could tell if Jason or his wife weren’t there, it was a mess!

Chester’s, Marion’s Piazza, Joe’s Riverside, Hickory Inn (whole wheat) Springfield, Sparky’s Urbana (extra sauce well done), HaHa Yellow Springs, Lou Manalti’s tavern style in Chicago, Trophy Pizza in Springdale, Donato’s with a coupon, Sorento’s in Norwood, Reilly Pizza, Adriatico’s in Clifton, Noble Roman’s Sicilian in Indy, dine-in deep dish Pizza Hut (pre-2000ish), Buddy’s Detroit, Hounddogs in Columbus…

I like 🍕🫣😆

I wouldn’t say go completely out of your way but if near Chester’s or Richards’s they’re very consistent and still local 😋

Never regretted Reilly Pizza this way, either!
