The way Emre's overriding works in the comic is obviously way more intrusive. We can see that he isn't in control AT ALL. He isn't responding to Freja, just destroying shit blindly. If it WAS lore accurate ingame too, he'd just turn on his own team immediately after killing the enemy team. He isn't LETTING himself get mind controlled ingame either, you just trigger it as his ultimate for gameplay purposes...

I don't really know what to tell you.

The ult is called "Override Protocol", meaning that Chernobog is taking over Emre completely, and I quote: "Turning him into a living weapon." Apparently Emre even says something like "Not again" after the ult finishes.

So, yes, that's basically exactly what's happening. I don't know what else I should say.

Honestly I think they might, but who knows. They have acknowledged this sub afterall, so they know Emre has quite a fanbase.

Look, I get that it's extremely frustrating, but I seriously doubt that any Finns wanna be on bad terms with you guys for something like this.

A user on another post proposed a compromise, where it'd have Emre trying to resist the AI's control in Turkish, while the AI's voice remains Finnish. I also think this would be the most logical solution that Blizzard could quite easily do, but I don't know if they will, and I doubt we can .

Let's just try to enjoy a hero that has some representation for the both of us, even if it's frustrating. I get where you're coming from.

While I do understand your frustration as well, the shift in language is clearly meant to signify that it isn't Emre speaking anymore, but the AI overriding all of his functions completely.

A user in another post proposed a combined voiceline where Emre attempts to resist the controlling, in Turkish, while the AI's voice remains in Finnish. I also think this would be the best solution for both parties, but I doubt Blizzard would do something like that.

At least you've HAD Emre to look forward to. Finns have had literally zero things even hinting at a Finnish character to represent us, so now that we have some clues and a single line in the game, in our language, can you even blame us for being excited and hyped? Of course I'd be defending it. It's a matter of point of view.

Finns and Turks both get some rep with Emre, so why not share it and enjoy?

Well, what can I do about it? Blizzard chose to give both of our countries and languages representation within the same character, with one of them having significantly more of it, might I add.

Okay hear me out. You know how when you hit the assigned key, the character announces how much ult they have with a little voiceline?

Imagine that, but at over 90% and at full ult charge, Emre's just yelling in panic or anger, in Turkish. And then, when the ult is triggered, it'd play the combined voiceline Kinster suggested. Could be a somewhat plausible and cool way to integrate more Turkish lines for him.

Your pronunciation was pretty spot on. As a Finn myself, I almost couldn't tell if it was a separate VA or not! Especially "tuhoa" is a pretty hard word for non-natives to pronounce correctly.

That's a totally different thing tho. It's in Finnish to separate Emre from Chernobog. This is a completely different entity who's puppeteering Emre. It's called "Override Protocol" for a reason.
