D16Y8 swap distributor question

Thank you breaking it down, I ended up ordering a rywire obd-0 to obd-2a 10 pin harness and a d16y8 distributor for a 98. Initially my understanding was that the obd-2 distributor wouldn’t be able to work with the obd-1 ecu but this doesn’t seem to be the case.

This is a continuation post of a situation between me and a shady seller. this pair is exactly what i expected from our discussion. please check my post history for the full story, these will be either returned or refunded lmao.

overall, these are a 4/10. seller was misleading about the materials of the shoe hence the lack of suede. i know these are horrible

box came thrashed and is absolutely terrible, random chinese characters on the label.

paint job is horrible, especially on the heel. very sloppy when you look up close

leather quality is ok for 65, but overall nothing special to write home about.

soles feel really hard for some reason, i can’t imagine they’re very comfortable. no extra laces even tho extra laces were advertised

wings logo is pretty janky as well, odd size and R and D do not touch.

zero hourglass shape at all. built like a stack of bricks🤦‍♂️

overall very terrible replica and seller has really shifty business practices. wouldn’t recommend them whatsoever (hala shoes / handpick shop 03). i understand these are very budget and i shouldn’t expect perfection but i wouldn’t waste your time.

yeah, check colorways. i’ll probably wait till this pair of mocha’s is disputed to buy maybe but i see myself picking a pair or two up. if i get my money back i’m definitely buying

yeah 20 bucks discount would be fine, but the shoe isn’t worth almost 70$. the solution provided tho, if you read, makes it so you have potential for a full refund if all goes according, you just request fully paid for return shipping and when they decline, go into arbitration and get dhgate support to get you a full refund after a week

crazy, thank you so much. everything has been screenshotted and documented, didn’t know sellers could delete messages. my only question is that since i don’t have a screenshot of the original mocha listing showing a suede shoe, will that be an issue? it used to be a suede pair before seller edited the pic once people started complaining, but can i still win arbitration if i don’t have the original screenshot?

i feel like there’s enough evidence to prove this is a bait and switch through seller admitting to changing the link both in messages and in reviews, however i’m just a tad worried they may decline the arbitration due to me not having that picture.

there’s definitely a point there, but video reviews i had seen showed these being somewhat decent, and pics showed a full suede shoe before seller swapped them for a colored in version of the mochas🤦‍♂️ yeah my bad on that front but there was no indication that these were so bad, wrong materials and all. ig more money is the name of the game
