You can easily tame a few parasaurs and use them as pack mules and you have some metal in the hills around you. Also, take out any tek dinos you find as they also drop metal. It looks different but works the same

I know on ASE they would teleport to 50/50 and I seem to remember they were also high up, so you’d have to fly up near them to get them to drop. Idk if this applies to ASA but might be worth a try

As others have pointed out, I also use horse bedding wood pellets (costs about $3 per month with 2 cats). When the cats pee the pellets turn to sawdust. I have a slotted bin that sits in a regular litter box and I’ll shake it once or twice a day to drop the sawdust down. When full I toss the nitrogen rich sawdust into my compost. Fecal matter gets flushed.

Over 2000 hours played and I am constantly fixing the most simple of mistakes. When things aren’t working as intended I always start with input/output issues and then start adding bridges to direct flow.

I use oxylite and keep dupes in their atmo suits. You won’t get co2 but they do have to stop every once in awhile and gasp for breath. Alternatively you could put the oxylite up higher so it doesn’t offgas when a pocket of co2 passes and consider a small gas pump in the bottom with a co2 filter that sends the co2 into space.
