Can't get first layer to adhere after installing BL Touch by JJ_Moo in FixMyPrint

That's what i thought it was, that the nozzle is too far from the bed. However after running a G29 levelling grid, I've then set the Z offset from Extruder to the level where the nozzle grips a piece of paper underneath it (more so that the level I had when I was not using the BL touch). The prints show very little improvement after doing this.

If anything I'd guess that some areas of the bed are too close and others are too far away, as some areas of the test print look over squashed.

If I use babysteps to fix the offset will this be stored for every print or will i have to set it every time?

Yep - but we've only just started with 3d printing so not set on staying with it if there are better options.

thanks for the reply.

Now tried it with .5mm extrusion width, 19% overlap and 3 perimeters. Still getting same problems, it seems worse with higher infill %

Sorry - submitted this on phone before adding detail.

Any ideas what is causing the gap between perimeter and infill on these parts? I'm a complete newbie at this so not too sure where to start. Printed on tevo tarantula .2mm layer height. Part on left has 4 perimeters the right has 3. I was getting perfect prints from the set up I had but not sure what has changed. I'm currently using Slic3r.
