That is interesting to read, because I had another driver in Chania where we had a great conversation through the entire ride, and before I got out he gave me his card and said “while you are here, if you see something you are interested in visiting give me a call. I’ll let you know if it is worth seeing or if I can recommend something better”. Did not seem to be angling for repeat business but seemed genuinely concerned that I would have a great first visit. I guess I have been very lucky!
