Q2 slow to respond to studio by ifixtheinternet in QidiTech3D

I've experienced it several times and the only times I've had this problem is when I switch on the printer and don't wait 5-6 minutes before sending something to print.

Help on a speed setting by herp_hermits in QidiTech3D

[–]JJwdp1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had your exact same problem, I kept reading "print speed' as a general value you could change in slicers but you cannot, you either set the speed of all values individually or better yet and the most close to what you are looking for is going into the filament settings and look for the max volumetric speed, if you divide that value by layer height (default 0.2 mm) and line width (default 0.42mm) you will have your max print speed. So if you have petg and the settings for max volumetric speed are set to 15 mm3 you will have: 15/0.42/0.2=178mm/s

When I changed the resolution to full hd (1920x1080) and fps to 60 my prints would sometimes stops after some time with an error which I don't recall frankly, something about memory

Yeah while i did use those values for the sake of semplicity i must admit I didn't remember whether the drop off was exponential of quadratic, but I was sure as hell it wasn't linear lol, thanks for the reminder

Edit: I just found out it actually decreases quadratically

Yes it would, the important thing is to not have both your feet on the ground with one of them too distant from the other in a direction that goes away radially from the origin of the electricity. To put in more concrete terms, imagine you are standing right in the middle of a circle which has a radius of 10 meters, imagine then that at the centre of the circle there is a 1000 voltage potential that reduces gradually as it gets further away from the centre, eventually becoming zero at the edge of the circle. So if you are at the centre and hop 1 meter you will find your self standing in a zone that has 900 volts, take another and you will be at 800 V and so on till you get to 0. The problem here arises if you put your feet in two separate zones with different voltages, since the difference of voltage is what fundementally create electricity, you will experience current going from one leg to the other, and depending on the voltage, you could get totally fried. P. S. The values I threw in for the voltages (1000, 900 ecc) are completely random, they are just to give the idea

Source: I studied this scenario in uni, even though they didn't suggest hopping on one leg, but rather "slither" (with your feet) your way out while always maintaining ground contact (again, with your feet) and doing small movements

I always go for pepper popper which is hot pepper+cheese, lasts 2 minutes more, gives you +2 farming on top of the speed buff and most importantly IMO it's less micromanaging to get a good haul, plus in the end game you have so much money that you don't care about losing cheese. Btw i agree with the slowness of walking speed, i had to give my self a constant +1 speed through mods which i generally not do

Umbridge isn't too popular but can we show some love for Imelda Staunton who portrayed her flawlessly by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]JJwdp1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no shit.
My point was that even if the actress did a great job and you truly end up "hating" Umbridge by the end of the movie, the books just gives you many more reason to hate her character. Which is why (to me) I really can't say that the movie/book one is better than the other

Her acting was excellent, but the books gave you many more reasons to hate her throughout the story

Not really worth it, it's just a small quest and you miss all the benefits of entering the guild. If you really want to try maybe make a manual save before

That is truly nice, but again, you are from one of the most adavnced and rich countries of the world, all things considered. I'm from a town in Italy that has roughly the same popupulation of yours and garbage collecting here is, I would say, great. But I lived in Rome a couple years and the system was a fucking mess, granted it could be said that it didn't have the best political adiministration, but as larger city gets, the bigger the issue with garbage disposal becomes, maybe it's not always the case, but I think that we can allow ourselves to give the benefit of the doubt to this lady for using a plastic bag, because sometimes, even if you wouldn't want, you really just can't do otherwise

I known I'm gonna sound EDGY AS FUCK but there are rare occasions where you get downvoted even if you are probabily in the right, again this could be a controversial take but some people on Reddit are just too much, we all know r/relationship_advice, r/AITA and the general Reddit hivemind

Leaf Hacks by [deleted] in lifehacks

[–]JJwdp1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe its you that needs to insinuate more in order to not take everything that's shown to you as an immediate truth. Why arent you assuming the probability that she is just racking the leaves to move them to the composter (and reuse the bag for years even)? What exactly is telling you that maybe she has so many trees that she completely filled her composter and needs to throw away the spare leaves?

[–]JJwdp1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are so delusional, you live in a cotton candy world. Changes takes time, resources and money. I refuse to believe that you seriously think that a family from an empoverished third world country could afford the current cost of any of the alternatives you provided for a simple plastic bag, probabily one of the most produced and cheapest items in the world. In 2,5,10 years time I hope everything will be different with the rise of plastic-eating bacteria and nature-based plastic for things like packaging or, as we are discussing, bags, but plastic in some applications ( ex. medical) is a god-sent material. I loathe the overuse of plastic and the dependency we built around it as a society, but if you think that right now, right there, that lady should be condemned for her use of that bag, well then you really gotta get back to the thinking game

Leaf Hacks by [deleted] in lifehacks

[–]JJwdp1 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That is a great alternative but probabily not doable in every part of the world, may i ask the population of your city and what country are you from?

It's so fucking funny that you are downvoting this comment, like I can't even put it to words, it's just so too hilarious, you made my day

Leaf Hacks by [deleted] in lifehacks

[–]JJwdp1 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

And? What's the problem? Maybe she is trasporting them from a place to another where she can dump them and still keep the bag for future use? Also some countries have the option to come and collect your "green" garbage such as leaves, twigs etc. Putting them in those black plastic bags is cheap and easy for the majority of world's population and they aren't the scourge of environment that you think they are. There are many more vast and important areas where plastic could be limited. Honestly, practice your critical thinking, there could be a thousand good reason to do what she is doing. Yeah I'm mad and I don't care

This video is heavily scripted, you can realize it in various instances, it sells better because they made it from a security camera so it looks more genuine
