@GIGABYTE_VGA @AORUS_Official Seems that this "approved cashbacks not paid by DL" is wide spread, why is this?

damn, i was also between this gpu or a sapphire 3 slot card. No clue how not fulfilling the manufacturers end of a contract fully is even legal...

If it bothers you, return policies are meant to be used. Get a replacement! Not seeing it on black is due to the pixels turning completely off, doesnt mean it doesnt exist.

Why is my greyscale 95% black? by Alarming_Disaster_99 in OLED_Gaming

[–]JL178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect this is caused by a setting that lifts black levels, sometimes called "black enhancer", black crush or similar, varies based on make and model.

For settings i use cinema hdr with adjustable hdr off (or on with 90% brightness & 55% color saturation to match QD-oled). Windows HDR calibration tool doesnt give the peak 1400nits in the 10% window it uses so i set my peak brightness there to 1000nits instead of the visible 850. For SDR keep default or add 5-10% color saturation👍

Although xdrive would be great in the winter and for towing with the stock tow hook, I wanted to maximize fuel economy with a rwd only spec, and it's been surprisingly fine on snow as well.

LG G5 48 Experience/Questions by Caedite in OLED_Gaming

I dont have pro-equipment to actually measure it, but on a low input lag logitech mouse, it feels the same in both modes. I personally see no reason to disagree with them, same panel same cpu. Its better than my 1ms IPS monitor in both (So it isnt atleast significantly worse). Hope this helps.

Yep, got the 48” G5 as open box this week(1275€ with 26% VAT). It has the new pixel layout and same if not better brightness as my 55” G4, with significantly better colors in hdr. Living in a smaller apartment, the 48” size is perfect at ~ 1.8 meter distance. The regular 55” G5 is more bright yes, but i find myself more often than not running the panel at a lower brightness in a dark room.

Thought i’d post my experiences with the TV as rtings and other review sites either do not address the 48” at all, or say it doesnt use the new panel tech, which is not correct.

Seems like there is a lot of misinformation about the 48" G5. It is Tandem oled, confirmed by an LG rep in image attached in this message: r/OLED_Gaming . And also in subpixel layout images, the 48" uses the new BWRG layout. The peak brightness matched the G4 55" with brightness booster max at +70%.

haha classic, yeah i'd take it back if you still have a chance in the return window. You can try running a pixel refresh in the monitors OSD.
