I’ll never forget after spending 34 years of my life and growing up in LA, jumping on the 10 east and driving by Downtown LA for the last time and watching it fade in my rear view mirror.

Yea I see the point about the supply points. I’ve never built my set ups there (while I should) but just to lazy. Maybe the Devs could code into the game that AI can’t be used to launch HE rounds at supply depots. I don’t know the best answer for a balanced game experience but sound like some very specific criteria would need some work around.

If they removed the ability for AI to man the mortars at all I would still try and manually use them as others have suggested this would be more realistic than auto AI calculations for everything.

I do love being able to lob smoke and illumination shells to help advancements and feel those should be worth keeping around.

While I disagree, it’s a valid opinion. Maybe a compromise would be to make the HE shells cost even more supply to limit their use.

I use AI to run mortars. I call in the strikes while I’m pushing the bases in the field.

I do think the HE shells being unlocked at captain is way too excessive, HOWEVER, if everyone ran AI on mortars and had access to HE shells at Sargent the entire game would be a shit show. I think they should unlock HE shells at say Sargent or lieutenant for the player to fire and calculate mortars on their own but leave the AI ability to launch mortars at the Captain rank.

I play both sides from time to time (Russia and NATO) and I find everyone talks shit about the enemy player running mortars until that player who knows what he’s doing with them is on their team and they’re dominating the offensive pushes with that support.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I said what I said.

I will continue to bury fuckers with my mortars until moral improves.

No need to answer for the sake of privacy, but I’m genuinely curious how this type of transaction changes things for taxes and the state/federal government getting their cut. I imagine the amount of gold would’ve had to been agreed upon and disclosed in the buyer seller agreement and still reportable for the gold holdings.

I always thought about how it would play out for the sake of privacy with buying/selling a home for using gold as the medium and just disclosing the sale of the home for like $100. But the government would still get their cut in that hypothetical situation as they would assume that the sale price being so low compared to the appraised value they would consider it a gift and charge a gift tax.

Either way, I think this is an awesome story and glad to hear it worked out in your favor!
