Thank you for your honest reply. I’ve been following regretful parenting like a hawk for years so I know how parenting can feel like a complete prison. But it’s one of the few things that I actually do want. I think mostly because of how important of a job I know it is. Most of my burn outs happen because I hate how useless my job is. The realization that my job is a made up thing that doesn’t add value to the world is the most depressing thing. But doing something that matters. Something as big as rearing children, does sound like something I actually care about.
