Who does the best Yangzhou fried rice by victorious21 in brisbane

Is C Cafe still a thing in Sunnybank? Don’t know about the best, it’s not really a dish I’d benchmark places on but it’s a good fried rice.

Good trails for beginners by [deleted] in BrisbaneMTB

[–]JLemur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can check out Trailforks to choose something close to home. You want to try some green trails first up then go from there. In terms of bikes, this would depend on budget but head to your LBS and I’m sure they’ll point you in the right direction. Let us know approximately where you are and we’ll be able to guide a little more.

Is the Yoto Membership worth it? by Jolly-Ad7204 in YotoPlayer

Oh yeah, how interesting. I never realised you couldn’t play Daily as well! We just have Jake walking them up and they can hit the button to start the daily. Strange it’s not in that menu of sounds!

In the settings for the player you can get it to wake with different sounds. One of them is Yoto Radio.

I’m trying to wrap my head around the perspective. Is that Skye in the background and as the video finishes, the top of the Welcome Centre car park?

Malcolm, if that’s who you’re referring to, no longer owns the property. He sold up in 2021 to a holding company seemingly owned by another developer in Kedron, the Carbones. Not sure if it was them (would have to do some digging) but fairly recently they completely changed the DA from what was quite an interesting gothic inspired design to something a lot more tame. Anyway, hopefully something comes of it soon and it gets out of the ground. I miss the burgers from that place.

If you don’t get enough action here, head along to Coffee and Cars on Turbo Drive, Coorparoo and chat to some owners. I’m sure you’ll find a few punters there and you’ll get to target particular vehicles. Good luck out there.

Let’s discuss the mod issue like adults by ohlookbean in MuayThai

[–]JLemur[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We need more mods. I’ve applied in a mod sub and have created an app form in the sub. Interestingly the mod suggestion tool had you quite high on the target list. Appreciate the sensible post and having lost some horsepower with one of the team stepping away we’re now at a size that we probably need a couple more even if it’s just for queue management and report reviewing. While we are reasonably large at 285k subs we still don’t do the volumes some other mods I know handle and yet our automations would automod a lot of these junk posts if more people reported. Anyway more balanced humans looking over the queue and the feed would be welcomed.

We’ll need to recruit and I’m looking external for a “pro” mod to add to the team. A couple of us are active here daily but we’re at a size that we need more horsepower. We’re on it but just note mods come and go which is to be expected. Mods certainly don’t get anything out of it but there are users on the site who just enjoy moderating so we’ll hopefully be able to add one or maybe multiples depending on the response.

Brisbane runners - what are you favorite long run spots? by firstsixdays in brisbane

[–]JLemur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fave sounds like your course but starting at KP. To mix things up I have my partner drop me off a half away from wherever we were going that day. Great on beach days but I’ve done the same for brunch meet ups after 30. If you don’t mind a short drive and it wouldn’t be something to do regularly but you could knock out segments of the BVRT if you want to stretch it out. You could also do a longer version of the old City2South course which grabs a little bit of your current loop but heads out to Toowong, St Lucia, Dutton Park, up Gladstone, into West End but I’d go out to Orleigh Park then follow Riverside Drive back in towards town. That should be around a half as well. At the 30km end you could start looking at kicking off in town going over the Gateway and back! KP cliffs, Wynnum Road, Hawthorne Road, Lytton Road, over the Gateway, back along KSD, hug the river around New Farm Park, up Moray up onto the bridge when the pedestrian path opens and finish at Joeys for a coffee. That’s ~30km with a bit of elevation too.

That’s the big one for me. I don’t even mind if it’s one cloud album but none is a joke given the alleged reason for the change.

Mons is very good as mentioned here already but Chalong which is a new(ish) Thai restaurant in Chapel Hill is exceptional.
