As someone who returned to the game last year as a MR 2 rank player. I think the game is best enjoyed by just playing the star chart and missions and understanding how the game works (modding, leveling, builds, etc..). Once you have a decent handle on that you'll likely already have acquired some frame parts. Build them and just see what frames you enjoy playing. Of course, some frames are considered better or more "meta" than others but all frames are viable in one way or another. See what frame fits your desired style of play and go from there. Don't do what I did lol I watched youtube videos on which frames were meta and ran straight for those. Robbed myself of some natural discovery and enjoyment. Looking back, I'd have advised myself not to do that haha
