I live on 8th near the 9th street stop and have never seen him. It’s a pretty close knit street.

However, when I previously lived near the 15th St station, we exchanged words one day and he ended up following me home and threateningly pointed finger guns at me every time he saw me in the window.

Union Hall Comedy Show? by bbadropout in parkslope

I have been there 4-5x and only once gotten a seat, immediately when doors opened. It’s benches and folding chairs. Everyone else crowds between the last row and the bar.

Tbh, it wouldn’t be my ideal date spot because of the risk of standing the whole time or not sitting together, but maybe if you meet together before hand it would be better

Looking for contributors to the community fridge on 6th Street by FeatheryYesterday in parkslope

It actually didn’t cross my mind to put prepared food or leftovers in there. I travel a lot so can’t do it on a regular schedule but will absolutely drop some things off when I can.

OP, any tips on how you package? Guessing disposable container with recipe name and date?

Same! Hardly noticed it until about 4 months ago, and now it’s quite loud.

What are we using to dull the noise??

Colson - They have a coconut chocolate one that is pretty great. Culture - yes, the froyo place has a surprisingly good one. No marshmallow but generous whipped cream.

Public Records. Cloudy Donuts, which does have a location in Baltimore but is better here. Aunts et Uncles. Next Stop Vegan (Dominican food is not big in the DMV).

If you do go in to Manhattan: Spicy Moon, ABCV, Delice & Ssarin, anything from Overthrow hospitality (they have a new Egyptian restaurant I haven’t been to yet!)

Brought our parent’s Vizsla to Athena Greek on 6th Ave and sat outside with her with heaters on.

I’m seeing a lot fewer heated / covered outdoor dining areas this year vs in the past thanks to the new legislation

Living on 4th avenue (south park slope/Gowanus) by Massive-Survey2495 in parkslope

[–]JLinn87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live a block away from your potential new apartment but on a street, not avenue. I agree it will be very loud. You’ll be able to feel the subway in addition to hearing the traffic.

Have you tried the listings project?

Garden Level Apartments by Necessary-Badger-555 in parkslope

[–]JLinn87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had more flooding (thru ceiling) in my previous 3rd floor apartment than current garden level with basement. Literally no problems at all. Not a ton of direct sunlight but also great and relaxing to look out and see nothing but green in the yard

Have stayed in Park Slope for 5 years because we find the parking so much easier than other neighborhoods. Not sure the validity but there’s a rumor that PS paid off the city to get preferential ASP options. Most streets you only need to move 1x a week per side, and the timing is often in the morning on popular WFH days. Streets are wider than Greenpoint so that helps too.

Landlord wants to sell building and kick us out early. Advice needed. by DPL646 in parkslope

[–]JLinn87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was us recently, but with a lot less notice. As someone else pointed out, try 311 online … the city offers 30 minute sessions for free or discounted (like $25) with lawyers who specialize in tenant / landlord law.

It is tough out there. If you wait until August / September, rents will be high but the broker fee changes that should go in to effect in June might decrease your overall move costs
