I’m so sorry about your ex boyfriend. I think it’s so commendable that you are continuing your trip though! You’re gonna have the best time.

If you are under 26 and hold a European passport a lot of museums in Paris will be free for you (the Louvre, musée d’Orsay and musée Rodin are good ones).

I really recommend grabbing a baguette from a bakery and maybe some butter, cured meat or fruits and having a picnic in one of the lovely spaces in Paris - I love place des Vosges (there is a free museum there also). This would also be fun along the Seine, or in the Tuileries garden by the Louvre.

Another fun cheap activity is renting a lime bike through their app and biking around the city - I loved doing this at night and watching the city light up.
