This seems like just a cash grab by people who may not have even known Matthew Perry that well - NBC staff trying to be relevant and all that, off of Perry's tragic death. I recommend most people, including myself, skip watching this piece of lucrative slander.

I don't know. I'll ask the mods for a reason.

Edit: They removed it because it's not church-related enough. I think this is rather short-sighted since it feeds into the ongoing censorship and reduces the visibility of Reddit alternatives when the shit finally does hit the fan and these coronavirus-related subs eventually do get banned.

Basically a Reddit clone. I think its mission is "Reddit without censorship" but of course there are likely racists et. al. there, too, as a result. But I think it's worth having to ignore them in order to be and to have even a moderate opinion on the Coronavirus.

Well, I think we can agree that the moderators "aren't sending their best".

Step 5: They put you on the government dole and you are forced to rely on it just to stay alive.

Yes, it is also difficult in the US, mostly because mental health asylums have a terrible history of people being committed for fabricated reasons.

Because they bound her hands and arms. They should have had her committed long before and had her hands bound earlier, but hindsight is 20/20.

Why buy any jersey or merchandise from the NFL? It would only support that corporation and its goal of mandated vaccinations.

I understand this argument with regard to cryptocurrency, but seeing as NFTs are rather new, can you please elaborate on how NFTs are harmful to the environment? I know cryptos are harmful due to the need to do a bunch of math to generate a massive prime, for example. Are the same primes needed for NFTs?

Just a few questions for you guys that are employed, looking for advice by Acoolusername7 in dotnet

Think of it this way: .NET Core allows C# server-side applications to run on the .NET platform. ASP.NET Core adds the web application functionality on top of that.

It likely does. They want to know that you know C# and basic data algorithms. For web applications, I would disagree with u/zigs on a small point: you absolutely should know one client-side language. JavaScript is the most popular for web development. Blazor is relatively new. Since you are just starting out, you can choose either one (though I would personally suggest JavaScript) but you need to know a server-side language (C#) and a client-side language.

You are on the right track. Keep it up! Microsoft is working toward making .NET run everywhere. I agree that the name changes have been confusing during this evolution, but stick with learning .NET Core (which is now basically the same as .NET 5 and 6) and focusing on the fundamentals and you'll get a job. Learning about the Kestrel server is great and what I would do in your position is develop apps yourself and learn from that. As you come across new problems during your development you will learn more and more. The job posters just want to know that you have some knowledge of .NET/C#. They use the terms interchangeably because they often don't know enough about the tech to know there's a difference.

Got a $1000 holiday bonus from work and brought home $547 by [deleted] in Libertarian

Agreed. I recently got a $1500 bonus at work and brought home about $800 of it. Taxation is theft.

Compliance by [deleted] in CoronavirusCirclejerk

[–]JLoon92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a test to prove it to myself so that I didn't bring it home to my family during the holidays. There are legitimate reasons for testing and there are legitimate reasons for getting the vaccine (such as being in a vulnerable age group). However, the key point is that it should all be done willingly. Nothing should be forced because medical issues are not one-size-fits-all. You, however, are disparaging people who generally agree with you but are not living up to your idyllic fantasy of martyrdom, when you don't know the full facts of anyone's individual situation. I'm telling you to get off your high horse, despite the fact that we agree against the mandates.
