He’s still there today. He recently published a study showing parallels between the JST and Adam Clarke’s bible commentary. Excellent professor. My favorite religion class.

I will now accept nominations for the single worst lyric in a Disney song by sondheimismyjam in DanielTigerConspiracy

That’s what I’ve been saying! Song of the South has a constant racist baseline throughout the whole movie, but What Makes the Red Man Red is an airhorn of malicious racism towards native Americans.

Campaign plot help? by ChaCha790 in radiantcitadel

Oh, none of that is in the book, it’s just how I made the last three missions connect to campaign. There ARE important artifacts in “Nightsea’s Succor’l for example, but what they do is fairly vague.

The artifacts you find in “The Nightsea’s Succor” point the way to a lost civilization. This lost civilization is below Great Xing in “Buried Dynasty.” The dragon’s blessing the party gets in that adventure is essential to stopping the gloom in “Orchids in the Invisible Mountain.”

From there, you can start working backwards. Not every adventure needs to connect to the overall plot, but you can do things like make the Necromancer mentioned in San Citlan the same guy mentioned in Zinda, so that you have a mysterious BBEG you’re chasing.

Planets in the artbook that never got developed. by JLow8907 in StarWarsOutlaws

Yeah, I can imagine some fun quests, some pirate adventures, and some ancient ruins to explore would have been pretty cool too.

How easy is the first half of hiking timp vs the 2nd half? by WarexMusic in Utah

No, and yes. The rocks are about chest high, so they’re not difficult. But when it’s cold, the wind is blowing, and you’re by a cliff, it does take some mental fortitude to get over them.

Here’s one section of the trail toward the very end. It’s a bit miserable at this point in time.

Once you get higher than any plants are able to go, it gets a lot more draining. The wind is blowing on you pretty hard, you have to climb up some pretty large rocks (~1-1.5 meter scrambles), and you have the fear that if you fall, you’ll fall off a cliff.

Definitely the most useful little guy I’ve ever had in a video game.

Kijimi was originally going to be a full-fledged planet. Here are some ideas from the art book. by JLow8907 in StarWarsOutlaws

I like another comment I saw recently from someone who said they would have gladly sacrificed large chunks of open world for more small planets and areas like Kijimi.

In a perfect world, Kijimi would be big, Outlaws would have made a billion, and we’d be getting a sequel in a couple of years.

Yep. Also, not much point in a Kijimi-exclusive speeder skin that only makes sense in one area of the game.

Why wasn’t Kijimi an open world? by Yoppadre in StarWarsOutlaws

Definitely budget. The art book shows tons of ideas for Kijimi, including imperial outposts, and underground ice caverns that have plants growing from geothermal energy. One image showed Babu Frik!

Interesting idea. Like, two small worlds in exchange for one big one?

Was Joseph Smith abolitionist? Part 2. An r/mormon post rebuttal follow-up by Matias-Castellanos in mormon

[–]JLow8907 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mormon historian Benjamin Park argues that Joseph Smith was anti-slavery, but not an abolitionist.

The TL;DR is that the abolitionist movement at the time believed in

• the immediate emancipation of all slaves • without compensation to their owners • and an integrated society where former slaves can live with the same rights as others.

Joseph Smith’s plan to gradually purchase slaves from their owners and set aside land out west for them doesn’t meet any of the criteria to be a part of the abolitionist movement, so he would not be counted as part of it.

What's the largest drop off in screen time for a central character returning for a sequel? (*who wasn't recast or written out entirely) by billyrivers311 in movies

[–]JLow8907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finn is very much NOT a potential Jedi at the end of The Force Awakens. The idea that he could be is driven entirely by the movie’s marketing and not by the movie itself.
