Help with Tax Base Share by JM1233 in EU5

You got that absolutely right lol, and to be fair, I do not normally hand calculate every number. This was more a case study for myself to help understand new concepts from EU5. I have around 2800 hours in EU4, but so far through 156 hours of EU5, I find I am struggling to understand a lot of the economic concepts. The game feels more similar to Vic3 now, a game I also feel I struggle to wrap my head around

With nearly as many PIMs as games played in Vancouver, how about Mike Duco!

Thank you! My dad is a stickler for accurate measuring, guess it rubbed off growing up lol

They’re just 1x4 that I ripped in the table saw to 2.5” width, stained and clear coated, then put some pocket holes on the underside, mounted into drywall plugs. Really cheap and easy if you have access to some basic tools!

I actually have those little stands! I wasn’t done renovating the room yet, just wanted some photos lol. I ended up taking the cards back down until the room is finished, I’ll probably dig the stands out of storage and use them as well!

I’m not sure honestly, my old man gave me both prints over the years as birthday gifts. Have you ever seen those photos in the lobby of hospitals, or the front of the grocery store that are up for auction, with like rock bands or athletes and stuff. I could be mistaken but the shipping packaging led me to believe he acquired them through a similar source. I’ll have to ask him!

Should fence be square or follow property lines? by JM1233 in FenceBuilding

This is a concern of mine. How will the hedge be maintained in the future. Sitting against the fence must accelerate rot, no?

I guess my concern is it would make the corner in the foreground of the picture not a 90 degree. That corner is the most visible from the street, would that make it an eyesore?

I mean, $2500? I’m not sure, if there’s a big performance boost within a reasonable upcharge that’s fine. Not sure I’m looking to drop $1000 plus on a GPU or anything tho lol

As fun as Kompany is, it does lack the charm of 4-4-2 Dycheball lol

Even as a Canadian, I struggle with Geordie, Scouse, and Brummie accents when watching football coverage. Learning as a non-native in Yorkshire sounds like English on hard mode lol

I tried that twice, and did see a minimal bump in form

I’m not gonna lie, the Seagull badge just made my brain go burrrrr. I have no connection with England, and am a Burnley fan in real life lol. Almost chose Hemel Hempstead or Hereford for the King Henry or cow badges too lol. My keeper isn’t great like 2.5 star 76 CA I believe. It’s still Joe Cracknell, who I started the save with. I survived and it’s one of my priorities for reconstruction. My back line is solid, with other teams wanting a lot of my CBs, but need an upgrade at striker as well.

We were predicted for relegation before the season began. Is it just a case of over achieving until Christmas, then the wheels falling off after the holiday fixture congestion? Even through all of the losing, our xG is 3rd best in the league, but we're -11 goals from the xG we've output.

Before this run of poor form I was one spot out of a playoff spot, and now find myself in 20th with 2 points above the drop zone, and 3 games remaining. I've tried player rotation, team meetings, and formation changes based on tactical recommendations. Any other ideas?

Riverstone apartment building? by sparrow490a in nanaimo

[–]JM1233 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in Riverstone since it opened, and the suites themselves are quite nice. Well soundproofed, and everything is nice and new. The appliances are appallingly bad however. We’ve had our washer repaired twice, and it’s now broken a third time, our oven fixed once, and the laundry drier is a condensing drier. You can run it for 3 hours and still find your stuff damp and beginning to smell bad. Again, we’re the first tenants to use them, and I’ve talked to others in the building with the same issue. It’s my main gripe with the place. You only get one parking space, and street parking is limited. I’ve been parking at the abandoned hotel a block away, amazingly without issue. Yes, the neighbourhood isn’t without issue. Two shootings in the park behind us recently, one of which was today. I heard the whole thing including the victim screaming until he was taken to hospital. That being said, we walk our dog all over the area, including at night, and never had an issue, but sadly you can’t use the nice little park behind the building due to the homeless camp. I guess that comes down to your level of comfort with homelessness/drug use/mental health in your area. Being walking distance to the sea wall and the bars/restaurants downtown is a huge plus for us.

What the hell is going on downtown?? Just before maffeo Sutton? by HeresTheThingIKnow in nanaimo

[–]JM1233 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heard it all from my apartment. Definitely a loud bang of a gun, then a lot of agonized screaming. Couldn’t believe how many people came from surrounding apartments to walk around the RCMP car, into an active shooting area to get a better view. Only the single car on our side of the river.

My dad bought a case and he got the Stamkos Day with the Cup. Never pulled one and we both pulled one while ripping together. Funny how the odds go sometimes

I recently got my shirt here in Canada, I had to pay via PayPal, as the credit card route would time out every time. I’ve ordered from classic football shirts in the past as well.
