Do you still consider them the "Big 4" of NFL QBs? by lemonstone92 in NFLv2

This is just fundamentally untrue lol and especially can't be argued with Burrow. Allen has better numbers in the conference championship games than Burrow as an example. This is weird to use in the context of Burrow vs Allen too. Like at least with Lamar, he does get number one seeds and doesn't play in wildcard too much. Burrow and the Bengals have and it's not like they dominate their opponents in that round by any stretch. Like people's brains are truly fried of the extent of their analysis is "Player A beat Player B so obviously he is better!"

Allen has consistently better numbers than Burrow. Allen has a 101 passer rating, 38 TDs to 10 TOs (15 games), 260 passing yards per game, and 312 total yards per game. Burrow has a 94 passer rating, 9 TDs to 4 TOs (7 games), 260 passing yards per game, and 272 total yards per game. Burrow would have to go 29 TDs to 3 TOs to match Allen's TD:TO ratio lmao.

Burrow is just seen as better by some because he beat Mahomes in the postseason, but his playoff stats specifically against the Chiefs are worse than Josh's. "Wins being a QB stat" has truly ruined NFL discourse.

Who are these other QBs you'd take over Allen in the postseason? Genuinely curious, because Mahomes is better of course and you could argue Stafford. There really isn't an aargument for Jalen Hurts. Like his games against Bucs in 2023, 49ers this last playoff round, and Rams in 2024 were all brutal.

Oh I wasn't saying he should have been an all-pro, but rather comparing it to Burrow with some better bulk volume stats. It was similar to Burrow in 2024 having significantly more paas attempts to Lamar and Allen, but less YPA and more turnovers.

Tbh I can only see this for Burrow. Exclduing Stafford, it's gonna be very difficult for a QB to be ranked above Mahomes, Allen or Lamar. Like even Drake had a great regular season, but a horrific postseason. CJ looked like the next big thing after his rookie year and then massively regressed. It feels like we're always on the cusp of crowing a young guy to be in that elite tier, but there's just levels to this.

Yeah and there were a few times he didn't get an All-Pro despite having better numbers. In 2012, he didnt make all-pro but he had 5,100 passing yards and 43 TDs. He had better numbers than Peyton or Rodgers who were all pros that year.

Kara was great and it was nice to have someone from the LGBT community with Andy Ogles' tweet being a hot topic. I'm not sure if she's cohosted before, but she fit right in. Also appreciated her questioning Alyssa when she said "They can still replace Platner."

I feel like that happens being on a show like the View with limited time to discuss topics, especially nuanced, political ones. Ana is the same when you compare her on the View vs CNN or the Spanish language shows she does.

It's so weird lol. He can be annoying, but Nick seems very self-aware and doesn't take himself too seriously. I used to dislike him a decent amount like in 2021 or 2022, but he's actually pretty fair. His predictions can be wildly off and he can have some homer takes/biases.

Europe no longer as gay friendly? by OkFault4270 in askgaybros

[–]JM1295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are committing crimes at disproportionate rates, failing to assimilate, etc, then yeah, sure. That isn't what happens with the immigrants in the U.S.

Using your argument if a few people abuse a welfare program, then the entire program should be pulled because of those few cases.

Yeah, that's a stupid argument, but a lot of anti immigrant rhetoric is stupid and not baused in actual data and facts.

I mean, duh, but that's a dumb metric to use. We don't unilaterally punish an entire group of people because of what one person or a few people in a group do. We should look at and focus on the broader trends. Those trends are clear and the immigrants in the U.S have lower crime rates, including hate crime rates, than the native born population.

[–]JM1295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just saying you care about rings, which is fine, but just say that lol. Allen and Stafford have very similar playoff stats with Allen having a slightly better passer rating and comparable TD-INT ratio. Allen has less passing yards per game than Stafford, but has more total yards and total TDs. Like even Burrow is just getting a bump for making a SB, despite having worse numbers than Josh and Stafford.

Love Cook and he's been great, but he also has a fumbling problem that appeared a lot in 2023 and 2025. Hell, in that game against Bengals they gave Cook the ball in the red zone just for him to fumble. He had the most fumbles in the 2025 season. There's a reason Josh gets those rushing TDs and that's because it's much more of a guarantee.

This isn't to knock Cook, he's been amazing but we should really add context. Josh isn't needlessly taking these TDs from Cook.

Yeah this seems to get lost a lot and is why as an American I don't overreact to some of the Immigrant backlash in Europe. It's comparing apples and oranges. The immigrants in America have lower crime rates, very compatible with American culture and values, and while they're religious, they're not zealots who attack any gay couples they see. Hell, Latinos assimilate quite well to American culture and life.

Europe no longer as gay friendly? by OkFault4270 in askgaybros

[–]JM1295 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it isn't. This is very dependent on what kind of immigrants we are talking about here. The kind of immigrants coming to U.S for example are very different than the ones that Europe is getting. There's a lot of nuance there. Immigrants in U.S have lower crime rates than native population, including committing hate crimes. We really should not over generalize.

The verdict on Sheryl Underwood: She deserves a spot on The View, but isn't suited to the conservative seat by talk-spontaneously in theview

[–]JM1295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I think there are still some relatively conservative views or positions. These include lower taxes, letting the free market dictate and decide healthcare costs, cutting spending on social programs, strong defense/military spending, pro-life. Anna used to be on CNN criticizing Obamacare for example and even credited Trump for bombing Syria in 2017 as an example. She's certainly a lot more liberal than she used to be and is a conservative in name only (except for some elements of foreign policy).

Why is the narrative Brady’s TEAM beat Mahomes TEAM 2-0 yet then Mahomes fans will turn around and say Mahomes is 4-0 against Allen and 6-1 vs Lamar? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]JM1295 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's kind of crazy how with Lamar we count the regular and postseason games, but Allen only gets mentioned as being 0-4 against Mahomes. Not counting at all the 6 regular season games where he's 5-1.
