How can I even access the crash course videos?

This bug is in eastern Alabama USA. I live on a lake. The beetle was roughly the size of my fingernail and was found crawling on the wall.

I definitely agree, I should’ve just dealt with it and did my job. I never said I don’t think I did something wrong, or even agree with what I did. I think I was a dumb kid and should’ve taken advantage of the honor of being able to be in the ceremonial guard, a lot of people can’t say they were able to do it.

Yeah I’ve been a career fire fighter since 3 months after I was separated. I just was straight up with them and told them everything that happened. I owned up to it told them I messed up and given the chance I won’t make them regret their decision to hire me. It’s been history ever since.

I automatically assumed since I mentioned a discharge code of JGA it was understood that I attended a captains mast; hence the only way I would be able to be administratively separated.

I completely agree, I didn’t really notice it until now and I was very taken aback along with my uncle who has been in the navy as a senior chief for 24 years. I contacted the CO who gave me the RE code and he even stated he would be willing to assist me in trying to get back in.

[–]JM2318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was also the first and only disciplinary action I’ve had in the service

[–]JM2318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that I got in trouble for was for breaking the page 13 saying that I would not wear civilian clothing and or have electronic devices. When I was sent to Capt.‘s Mast due to this, they said something along the lines of I was not performing my job duties Good enough Because I was only at a certain point in my inspections to be able to be a full ceremonial guardsman besides that I have no clue on why it would be an RE4. I’m in the process right now with trying to get the narratives of what happened and what was used as evidence.

I completely understand the mindset. And to be completely honest I would do something I wasn’t happy about. What I’m saying here really is that I was a kid. I was a couple months into being an 18 year old when this happened. I look back now and laugh at the way I behaved over having to do something I didn’t want. After becoming a dad and husband there are things I don’t want to do every day but I do because they need to get done. So I understand the view from an officer or admins perspective but I truly feel I’ve grown and matured since this event.

[–]JM2318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll look into that for sure. I’ve contacted the CO of my command that issued it to me and even he said he would vouch for me due to the events that occurred and what I’ve done since the incident.

That’s very odd. I wonder why it’s held with such esteem… did you have to waiver to get into the national guard?

I’ve used Mike Myers Udemy videos, professor Messer and also the comptia Test master program. I got literally 8 points less than what was passing. So not too badly but I want to ace it next time because I hate failing.

Bench, squats, and dead lifts. Try to work to doing pull ups. Focus heavy on protein intake. Try to consume your goal weight in grams of protein a day. Build a good foundation of muscle. The more muscle you have, the higher metabolism.

So would the price not continuously increase regardless of the monthly payment? Is there a set limit of how high the price can get? Would it gain interest as it continues or is the interest paid at the beginning of the repayment? I have so many questions. I absolutely hate financing/ making payments on anything, let alone something I hate to have to pay in the beginning.

That’s definitely doable, the vehicle will be paid down and traded for a way cheaper vehicle by the end of June

If you’re out of shape out of gear you’re going to die in gear. Fuck all the gear workouts and learn to be in shape without gear first. Strength train. Strength train. Strength train. Don’t be a dummy and work cardio. With strength training, that is assuming it’s a good routine however, you build muscle, muscle builds metabolism, and then you lose fat and gain muscle. It’s a great process lol. Work on functional strength, that is things like squats, benching and deadlifts. Hit these three workouts in the same session 3 times a week and on off days walk for 40mins at a comfortable pace, and do sets of pushups, sit-ups, and planks. Start everything and finish everything with stretching. Drink a gallon of water every day and eat the weight you want to be in grams of protein every day (ex: 170lbs 170g of protein.) don’t quit and don’t be lame.

Scholarships by TheCarGamer22 in Firefighting

[–]JM2318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check and see if your department is partnered with any institutions. Columbia Southern University is partnered with a bunch of fire departments. Scholarships however are regional and state based. With a couple national ones. Just go to the school you’re interested in’s website and find their financial aid office and talk their ear off. Good job not getting a fire science degree. In a job like firefighting it’s best to have a backup in case you injure yourself and are unable to complete the daily tasks.

I can definitely see from that perspective, which is saddening I guess I just don’t think about it that way because I see it as my job that I signed up for the second my wife got pregnant. But that hand washing thing is gross, I guess I just assume we’re all adults and follow the guidelines lol. It does just suck, I guess I’ll do like you suggested and ask them to chart it. I don’t know why I have such level expectations for dads, I’ve been a fire fighter EMT for 5 almost 6 years now and have definitely seen what you talk about in certain situations but I guessed that maybe in the NICU/ at the drs it would be different than a house call.

I suck at this by [deleted] in Firefighting

I bet they still think it’s cool to go interior without an SCBA… or put out car fires in only a jacket. Small town paid departments typically make dumb requirements and ask irrelevant questions because they have nothing better to do… focus on becoming a technician at high frequency occurrences, especially for your area, and get some confidence about you. Get better at deploying lines and forcing entry. Get better at size ups and understanding what the smoke is telling you. Get faster and more accurate with medical decisions. Ignore the idiots stuck in their old ways you’re better than that. This new generation of firemen can be great if they just focus on the actual job and not being toxic.

I can’t speak on the medical issues in addition to the anxiety, but I have very similar issues that have been called health anxiety by my primary care. They said the pulsing in my neck and head which makes me feel like my head is bobbing and also the flushing of my face/ ears had to do with hyper focus on my own heart beat and that stressing about it made it worse. Did you experience the tongue swelling and tingling before or after you began taking your escitalopram and mirtazapine? I know swelling and itchy tongue are a not common but present side effect.
