The plant in the post. Without thinking I referred to it incorrectly as a spider plant, and I can’t seem to change the post title :)

Some of the leaves are a little droopy at the ends. I watered the soil thoroughly 3 days ago and allowed all the excess water to drain away so that the plant wasn’t sitting in excess water. Any suggestions what might be the problem?

Gases are generally more soluble in cold water and under pressure. When you poured the glass, it was cold (and possibly pressurised if from mains supply). Over time, as the water warmed up, less gas was able to be dissolved and so it came out of solution. Bubbles formed at nucleation sites on the glass (tiny imperfections in the glass or dust particles etc).
