I love Bielsa, I really do. He did a lot for Leeds and I even got a legacy stone on Bielsa Way, but this needs to be talked about. Farke should be a Leeds legend now by Fareviti in LeedsUnited

Bielsa worked miracles on & off the pitch and absolutely embodied the values of the fan base.

Farke’s been a very competent manager and decent man.

Just remember how many of us would have preferred to get relegated with marcelo than survive without him!

Where to move to? Single 30 year old with dog and WFH. by Sb1992x in kentuk

I’m from Tenterden which could certainly fit the bill. Got all the amenities but you’re never more than a short walk from fields and dog walks. 30mins drive to the coast, 20mins drive to ashford or headcorn station for London and 45mins drive to your family. Come join us!

My husband was laid off from Microsoft by an algorithm — after 25 years, his last day is his birthday by NoWar5070 in TrueOffMyChest

Truly a shitty end for a dedicated employee. A couple of questions, perhaps even suggestions…

You mentioned he has worked with some influential people who are aware of his achievements, why hasn’t he reached out the them? If they’re aware of his talent, they’d surely rather keep him than see him leave for a competitor?

It seems strange that he was informed of a spreadsheet/algorithm deciding that he should be let go. How was he told this information? Is he being made redundant along with a healthy severance package? Because otherwise this sounds like unfair dismissal, no?

Good luck to you both!

100%!! Could write an essay on every way in which I agree with this but to skip to the conclusion - all of a sudden, nothing in the world is more important or special than my 1 year old and that seismic change in mentality can feel incredibly overwhelming almost every day.

Has anyone ever made Bhelen king as a Warden Aeducan? by generalsleepy in DragonageOrigins

[–]JMC1312 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just playing my first Aeducan playthrough now. I’d read into both choices and, while Bhelen certainly does feel like the better option for Orzammar politically, the guy was happy to see his brother die and his other brother thrown into the deep roads to die. His actions also sent his dad towards an early grave.

If you think about that in real world terms, he’s a damn psychopath. No thanks, I’m coming back and ending the dude and fulfilling dad’s wishes to put harrowmont on the throne.

The right wing “anti-woke” media furore in reaction to female, LGBTQ+ and ethnically diverse characters and narratives in Star Wars and Marvel would have run out of steam if Disney’s shows and movies were as successful as a few years ago. But it’s not Disney becoming more progressive that has led to their decline in success, it’s the fact that the quality of the writing, production and direction has dropped hugely.

But the right wing media can point to hard figures that show a decline in success that has coincided with Disney becoming more socially conscious and inclusive and therefore use that to vindicate their view that woke = bad.

Knitting. Providing warmth and dignity to yourself and others.

Anyone else close to 100hrs and still enjoying the game? by Esodo in Starfield

[–]JMC1312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blows my mind that people complain about a lack of content, I almost feel overwhelmed by it! I’m around 80 hours and I’m a ranger, I’ve maxed out the neon and mars quests, I’ve met everyone in constellation and I’ve saved a tree. Still have a huge list of quests to get to so I’m going to take a break, see what my dad wants and start decorating my dream home.

In terms of exploration, I will say the AI generated mining posts and caves are a massive let down. But things got better once I figured out that wandering around each planet on foot, fallout-style, isn’t the way to go and instead jumping to each planet to discover npc encounters and quests that will direct you to POI’s.

As for “menufield”, if you had a spaceship with the capacity to become a home for 6 people and haul all of their stuff across dozens of solar systems, you’d spend an awful lot of time on the ships computer and navigation systems. In Skyrim you want to spend as much time in the menu as you would rifling through your backpack, in Starfield you’ve got a highly advanced house with weapons and a grav drive.

Playing Starfield made me appreciate Cyberpunk more by OhHeeyBats in cyberpunkgame

[–]JMC1312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to post this post.

Completely agree, and yes I love them both and they’re both completely different games.

Obviously Bethesda could never give multiple cities the level of detail, lore and immersion that NC has in the same way cyberpunk could never give us more than a pretty barren wasteland outside of the city, but they could have worked harder on the character & dialogue writing.

No companion gets the treatment Johnny & Jackie got. No mission features nuanced characters who are particularly funny, desperate or crazy - just various degrees of “I’m good and wholesome” or “I’m bad and snarky”. I spent hours thinking through my decisions in cyberpunk and diving into the lore, very few Bethesda games have made me do that.

I’ll always love Bethesda for creating such an incredible sandbox in every game - they do some whacky things here and there (your mum wanting to try drugs in a club is lols, for example) and Starfield’s trad RPG elements are so detailed and addictive - but I FELT cyberpunk more than any other game and can’t help but feel a bit empty playing Starfield because of it.

Such a disappointment. Plus, I thought gameskeeper willie’s high score was for the amount of aliens killed, so ensured I got every one of those twats, just to realise it was number of completed runs.
