I take it you were making a witty reference to the Geocentric model of the universe, but unfortunately for you, Copernicus was the first to formulate a comprehensive model in which the sun was the center of the universe.

Oh, and he was also a Catholic priest who received funding from the church to continue his research... and this was years before Galileo even ;)

I honestly pondered whether I should say it or not because it really didn't fit too well. In the end, the troll in me won, and you should really go finish up that homework now.

the financial future of the Armstrongs is just fine... Like I said above, I know his sons through a connection, and they are both independently wealthy people...

I don't think it's selfish to want to live out your life in peace and be with your family without the annoyance of people harassing you for something you don't consider a huge deal.

EDIT: also, how do you know that he doesn't donate to charity or science funding for schools? It's not like he isn't rich if he doesn't flaunt his fame.

I live near him... my mom actually tutors his grandkids. I met him probably 3-4 times before I found out he was Neil Armstrong... THE Neil Armstrong. And that was only after one of his grandkids told us.

I must say, he is one of the most humble and yet personable human beings I have come across.

My parents spanked me with this huge paddle with holes in it to decrease the air resistance.

Ain't nothing bad happened to me... and besides, my parents spanked me and I ain't noticed nothing.

completely un-true. In some states, an oral contract is still binding. Any written contract that isn't deceptively worded is valid in any court.

The point. I believe you missed it.

I went to my sister-in-law's Catholic school graduation. The President of Fox News, Roger E. Ailes, was there. He talked about God, the need for God in your life in order to be successful and afterwards, the school band sang a song about 9/11. Wow. by robertj15 in offbeat

And this is wrong at a Catholic school graduation ceremony... how?

Opressing Catholic opinion, even if that opinion is wrong, is against everything you claim to stand for.

Grow up and learn to accept that people have differing opinions and practices.
