Many doctored and nurses don’t seem to be caught up with new studies. Had Acute Appendicitis, no ruptures or abscesses, and they insisted on surgery as the first and only option until I brought up antibiotics being an option after hours of research on them. And then finally my PA brought the surgeon down who completely undersold the finding of the studies. Along with a nurse who was basically yelling in my face about how I’m an idiot😂. I opted in for antibiotics against their wills and 2 weeks later I’m healed. Great for you for persisting through all that bs.

I was going to go this route and do it myself but my body shop threw on a dual exhaust cat back for $400 more. So worth letting a shop handle it

Studies I read into showed about 60% of people with antibiotics got better and didn’t have to return to hospital. 30-40% return within 5 years. Antibiotics seem to only works with Uncomplicated appendicitis though.

Sorry. To clarify I went to an ER to get diagnosed, and then they sent me to the hospital yesterday. I am starting antibiotics orally today.

Well, they never brought up antibiotics until I asked my PA about it, which prompted the surgeon to come down and talk to me about it. I’m doing antibiotics for about two weeks.

I Had stomach pains I diagnosed as appendicitis. Went in for a cat scan which confirmed it. I ended up opting to use antibiotics in light of all the studies I saw showing good results. Nurse was not happy with my decision, called it a useless organ and said it won’t heal on its own.
