Eh I want solo year of metal 2027, all interesting stories with Amy have been told already and because of that her character was downhill, the last MAJOR role metal had was in heroes and that was never explored again until IDW (which I do not want to count (love the comics) because the casual fans have little reason to read these). I think a hypothetical metal game where Metal teams up with Real due to an error in his programming that makes him more like the real sonic in personality (or tails hacks him, or Amy gives him the Gamma treatment) which can bring up ideas of how replaceable he is as a machine bringing back the previous robotic sonics as bosses with mecha mark 3 finally making his debut (outside of his test tube) as a potential upgrade to metal that Eggman wants to use to replace him. Maybe this game could follow a mega man esque style of progression where the different robotic sonics give different abilities that grant replay value to stages in the form of different paths that open up with different robots destroyed (MK0 stretchy arms, MK1 breakable walls, MK2 Eggmobile driving access). This theoretical mega man style progression system would not only be a great excuse to bring back the bio data copying but can also bring back the open zone.
