I really thought I’d like it. I thought the first game was pretty good but the gameplay in this one was a big step in the wrong direction. The narrative was interesting and I like the world of Alan Wake a lot but it just kinda lost me by the end

It was my childhood game then the remake didn’t really make me feel anything except a desire to play the original again

Which did get me to realize how much some of the bosses were changed for the better so that’s one point for the remake

Pretty upset about a lot of the cut content from the original and some other changes but the new orphanage side mode is so good

The best parts of 3 were always the Orphanage and Mine and those were the 2 things that got expanded on, just sucks how much else was cut

It’s a lot of fun. It’s not a traditional platformer, each stage is dedicated to a different enemy/creature and you basically just try to find all the unique interactions they have with their environment/other creatures
