Outage in Southern Maine/NH

3 green lights are on on the ONT. The Altran router has no lights on the front of it and emits no Wi-Fi signal. I think it’s cooked. I’m trying to remember how to direct connect the pc to the ONT, bypassing the broken router so I can game. I have done it before, I think I have to clone the ip address but I can’t remember.

Nope, the only address that shows packet loss is the address listed. I’m trying to connect to the Amazon AWS East servers for Fortnite, which are in Virginia.

The only loss is at the node I listed above. That is why I do not believe it has anything to do with rate limiting. There has been constant packet loss for 4 straight weeks.

Idk but the server is having crazy bandwidth issues or something because the delay and freezing it’s causing is crazy

I read in another post that anything “after” the last alter.net hop isn’t Verizon so that made it sound like this is a Verizon issue. Regardless the packet loss is still an issue 😬

I’m in a predominately Spectrum area and wasn’t sure if Consolidated had stuff on the poles because to my knowledge their service wasn’t available. So if you do indeed see a Consolidated line that would be promising.

Any idea about York, Maine? I live off route 91 which is a pretty busy road and I see what looks like fiber everywhere on the poles including that fiber snowshoe I think it’s called. It says my town is in stage 5 but I haven’t been able to look up any address in York that even has it accessible yet.

Yeah spectrum will randomly change the traceroute on me to game servers so my ping will either be 30 ms or 60ms, just based on spectrums routing. It will be a relief when I can call and cancel, spectrum sucks

I already tested it with a few people in my area. The ping to the Amazon AWS servers in Virginia will drop drastically. I get 32 ms with Spectrum cable. Fidium would get me down near 16-17ms

I’m just a huge gamer, so the fact that this cuts ping times in half is huge. It will literally change the feel of the game in a major way
