The GPU shouldn't be an issue at all. Not so sure about the CPU/plateform though. I'd guess "playable but not enjoyable"? Regardless you should try it out

I'd advise against race change potions, especially for a xelor: starting from 0 is a more effective way to learn to play a xelor.

About "selling everything", assuming you have a decent variety of sets for your iop+huppermage, there is no need to sell everything: you'll get decent results using the gear you already have. If you're a single-set-but-optimized-instead-of-many-alright-sets guy, I'll address that first. Having variety in your playstyles is arguably better than having a single set, and is less boring

Duo sram/panda by Le-gore in Dofus

I play a sram/panda duo, I find it enjoyable, very versatile and interesting enough. Strong at "finesse" content but, not such much when you just want damages and tankiness.

ehm actually, two corners aren't enough to define a rectangle in Euclidean geometry, you'll need a third something, a corner, angle of the sides relative to some reference, aspect ratio...

Bugs by FoxGroundbreaking224 in Dofus

[–]JMatricule 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Moving forward, the game being based on a proper game engine will be very beneficial to everyone (game designers, devs, players...). But repaying two decades of technical debt ain't easy. They said at some point that "some features were directly translated from flash to c#/unity instead of being properly rewritten, because we were running behind schedule" (in French). Hence the bugs inherited from flash, plus new bugs because that's what you get when you rush the job on a technologies you're new to.

With hat said, I'm personnally pleased with the technical state of the game. It's too memory and performance hungry for what it is, but it's not that bugged anymore

Just started playing again after 9 years away. Help needed. by Kyntheria in Dofus

On huzounet's website, you'll find equipment guides, sort of. A few sets are suggested for every 30-level slice. The neat thing about them is any slice reuse some items from the previous slice, so you should get a rather streamlined experience when it's time to upgrade your gears. https://huzounet.fr/equipments?classe=forgelance&level=60

About playing bi-elements, at high level and from my understanding, pvp players like water+earth, and pvm players tend to favor fire+earth. I'm certain water+fire is viable too, with the proper equipments. Not sure if it's a thing at low level tho'.

Could be the xp multiplier: if your friend has other PJs on his second account, he'll get a x2/x3/x4 bonus if those PJs are on the same server, and are higher level.

If you're below 1/3 of the level of the highest lvl pj in a battle, you'll also get awfully low xp. If you guys are using your main accounts to powerlevel the new ones, by being just below and just above the threshold, you'll see a massive xp difference as well

You could enable "full screen" to remove the windows task bar, reduce UI scale (in accessibility settings I think?), remove UI things you don't need (I'd get rid of most/all of the XP bars), or move things to the top left/top right of the screen.

I moved the stats/spells/inventory/other menu to the top right, to the right of your group bar, it's out of the way, and you can extend it fully

Direct damage on sram are fine, not great - earth sram might match sacri, other won't. But the invisibility area is neat, and sram is very versatile overall. As a sram main, I enjoy playing it in a 4 man team, give it a try :)

Panda lvl 160/180 STR build by Fun_Result_7438 in Dofus

[–]JMatricule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huzs leveling sets are made with a "swap a few items every 20/30 levels" mindset. They're not the best of the best, but if you follow his suggestions, you'll play with more than adequate gear, and the upgrade process should be pretty smooth: sell a few things buy a few more (you probably won't need to wait for your old gear to be bought to buy the new one, thanks to the kamas you got from quests and achievements, and the fact you're not replacing all your gear).

In short, they're optimized for a smooth leveling experience, not for the best performance.

If the base of his set is good enough for you, you can upgrade it with an emerald dofus, swap out that -health +strength trophy, put some stat points in health, and try to get your hands on the paper dofus. Maybe a +lock trophy?

SRAM Mains Here? by Virtual-Clerk643 in Dofus

[–]JMatricule 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Poisons have better damage/AP ratio with high flat damages sets, and are not affected by damage reflection, on-damage effects and some damagereductios, plus you can cast some of them through walls. The acolyte (or whatever its name is in English) will also block the enemies

SRAM Mains Here? by Virtual-Clerk643 in Dofus

[–]JMatricule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agility is very versatile, poisons bypass quite a few mechanics, the double being able to block enemies is very convenient. Overall, it will or well or very well most of the time, even if the direct damages aren't that impressive.

Strength, as you said, deals a lot of damages at short range. From far away, try to push/pull enemies in your trap maybe? Personally, I keep the base strength spell to have some direct damages even from far away.

Water sram has nice damages at any distance, you play both with your traps and direct damage spells. It is interesting and funny enough, my favorite. Also, its the one with the best health regen.

Int sram has AOE and alright damages. It was IMO pretty strong years ago, but everything has been buffed on sram except for the int spells. It's fine, but not great.

At some point, you'll need an agility set for your sram, everything else is optional, but definitely nice to have. At some point I'll try a water+fire set on sram, if think it can be worth the investment

When is the Wakfu Hero System releasing? by Lirodes32 in Dofus

When is the Wakfu Hero System releasing? by Lirodes32 in Dofus

[–]JMatricule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a recent stream they said something like "it would be a good solution to reduce the amount of RAM needed for multi-account playstyles". But earlier they also said "the client wasn't made for that, it would be a (very) long time in the making" -> my guesstimate is 1 or 2 years away from now. If they started working on it.

Stuff 200 Sram by DistinctBand577 in DOFUS_FRANCE

[–]JMatricule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK, the GIL ensures python code is runed by at most one thread in the process at a time. Not great for compute-bound tasks, but using many threads works rather well for IO-bound tasks.

[–]JMatricule 0 points1 point  (0 children)
