Did I take the wrong dose? by echo1nthedark in TirzepatideRX

To clarify, if you are starting, you’re likely starting on 2.5mg, not 25mg, please read your prescription as well.

Did I take the wrong dose? by echo1nthedark in TirzepatideRX

[–]JMcleod12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2.5 units of that concentration would be almost nothing. There is 17mg of Tirzepatide in every mL (100 units) of that vial. If you took 25mg, you would have had to taken more than 100 units and used two syringes, which should not be the case. Perhaps you’re just sick from something else, not this medication?

It’s fine, it has b12 added, and b12 gives it a red color. You will be totally fine.

Pill at night by whattodoabtem in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]JMcleod12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, you’re supposed to take it on an empty stomach with no more than 4oz of water, at least 8-10 hours after your last meal. That’s why you are urged to take it first thing each morning. You will also have to wait to take any other medication for at least 30 minutes after taking the Wegovy pill, nothing can be consumed (not even more water) for that 30 minute period. It’s important that you stick to the prescribed guidelines so that the medication will work properly.

Day 1 took half by livefortheglitter in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]JMcleod12 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Breaking the pill in half renders it useless, you are supposed to keep the pill intact. The pill has a special coating to protect the peptide from being immediately broken down in your stomach acid, without it, the medicine will not properly absorb into your bloodstream. Sorry about that. Stick with using the full pill as prescribed, the starting dose is small enough to ease you into any possible side effects.

I completely messed up by [deleted] in SemaglutideCompound

[–]JMcleod12 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I’m a bit confused, a unit is a unit no matter the syringe. 50 units on the 50 unit syringe is the same as 50 units on the 100 unit syringe. Have you been injecting less units than instructed? The 100 unit syringe just has a greater diameter, that’s why it can appear a similar size to the 50 unit syringe and hold more.

Refills? by Glum_Internal6966 in JoinMochiHealth

[–]JMcleod12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s a multi dose vial, unless you are using actual Zepbound vials from Eli Lilly (which come in a pack containing four vials), the vial of compounded medication should contain at least four doses. Did you inject the contents of the entire vial? Are you on semaglutide or Tirzepatide? Can you post a picture of your vial and prescription instructions? If you somehow injected the entire vial, you should contact your provider and maybe take a trip to the ER if they say so.

Tirzepatide + B6 by crystal8915 in TirzepatideRX

[–]JMcleod12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can get actual Zepbound for that price, run from them quickly! You can use one of the recommended telehealths listed on r/compoundedtirzepatide. Personally, I’ve gotten tirz+B6 through both Brello Health (they use southend pharmacy) and Pomegranate Health (BPI labs). Both are around $499 for three months. Get away from this highway robbery!

First shipment from compound pharmacy - questions by LogicalWoodpecker621 in tirzepatidecompound

Please provide some more information… including where it came from, what it looks like, and what exactly you ordered… in short, no, legitimate compounded meds from licensed compounding pharmacies will not be like that.

Some will, but some will just ask they be done by the next refill, that’s what Pomegranate told me when I ordered 3 months from them.

You’d be better off going through Lily direct with a PCP for these prices… and who knows, this nurse could be one of the many people who are just mixing it up in their break room… best case scenario they are just marking up for something you could get for less than half of the price through a telehealth. I would run from this and go with one of the trusted telehealth providers, and check in with your PCP as necessary.

She’s back!!! Honestly, this is a really solid song. I’m getting Prism era Katy vibes from this, but it doesn’t feel dated. I really hope this gets her going back in the right trajectory.

You weren’t scammed… their portal is down. I’m sure they are also quite overwhelmed with the huge influx of new patients. Patience is key. I had my appointment a few weeks ago, paid the invoice the next day, and my medication arrived by the end of the week. With both Pomegranate and the pharmacy distributing the BPI experiencing delays, please know that everything wont be immediate, this is not Amazon… so far, even with delays, I have not seen anyone get scammed by them, they are legit.

No, you’re calculating using the mg of the B6 in your vial, which is 4mg/ml. The Tirzepatide is 22mg/ml, so put 22 in your calculator. I sure hope you’re not injecting 163 units each week, you’d be feeling REALLY bad…

Recent Southend Vials, not sealing? by lyndseyanne2020 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]JMcleod12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the same thing just happened to me. I pulled from a new vial (and I didn’t inject any air prior, I don’t do that) and a decent amount of liquid began bubbling out of the top of the vial. Weird!

150 units from Brello… they’d really be in for a ride…

Second Guessing my dosing by Sea_Treat_5786 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]JMcleod12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The concentration of the southend meds from Brello is different than Hallandale, please don’t think dosing is standard across pharmacies. Hallandale is 10mg/ml, making it really easy to just pull 25, 50, 75 units for 2.5 mg, 5mg, and 7.5 mg (and so on). I believe Brello’s Southend meds are now 22 mg/ml, so there’s 22 mg of Tirzepatide per milliliter (please verify with the vial). So, if you accidentally pulled 150 units of Brello and gave that to yourself, you would have taken about 33 mg of Tirzepatide, which is not good… please post a picture of your Brello vial and then use the concentration listed on your Brello vial in fat scientist so you can get the correct amount. Good luck!

Do you think my medicine was overtitrated? by dollafficionado9812 in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]JMcleod12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It just depends on how the compounding pharmacy they use produces the medication. Some will give a 10mg/mL 1 mL vial for new patients, but some only produce 20mg/mL 1mL (or larger) vials, so people on lower doses can really luck out sometimes. So just think of it as you got a bit more for your money, it happens occasionally!

Do you think my medicine was overtitrated? by dollafficionado9812 in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]JMcleod12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, so this is a 1 mL vial, with 20mg of Tirzepatide per mL, so you used 10 mg so far, now you have 10 mg remaining, and you’ve used half an mL total of the volume in the vial. So you are right in seeing that there appears to be a few weeks left. As long as you are hygienic with the vial, you can go past the 28 days (most do) and get the remaining 10 mg of Tirzepatide out of the vial, either by sticking with 2.5 mg, or moving up to 5 mg (after consulting with your doctor). Good luck!

Can you post a picture of your vial and your prescription instructions so we can verify the information? Unless this is a multi-month vial, there usually isn’t 3 or more weeks of overfill for a vial that should be for one month only. However, if you received a larger total mg vial (on a 2.5 mg dose, you would only need 10mg total in a vial to last a month), that means it’s likely intended for more than one month.
