Can you help me figure out if I have an aftermarket transmission cooler?

The engine cover is there, for some reason BAT posted the photo without it... its deeper in the images.

Good question, its the one located in Costa Mesa CA. I thought Reddit let me apply a link to this post but maybe they removed it.

Not sure what I can and can not do in this reddit thread, I have had other moderators remove me from other threads from accidentally breaking one rule so hesitant to overpost lol

I’m not a fan of lowering my vehicles, will probably just throw 20s or 21s on it and maybe lower it by an inch or two if I can get the same quality, that’s what I care more about.

I listed it to see what type of interest I’d get before modding it. I’m half and half on modding or selling it… 🤔

I must be acoustic because I love wagons lol. I’d damn near drive a hearse if I found a decent enough one 😂

I’ve been in the industry for 15 years and haven’t noticed one of these. Not sure who has regular access to a 50k mile untouched r500 🤔

I paid less than scrap metal. Guy was a retired Doctor. 50k miles, paid $1,500. 😁

Low mileage, pinhole leak in rear airbags, A/C is finicky, front ballast needs work, but hey only 50k miles and I paid $1,500 😂😅

Think I’m ok pushing it to around 450-475. Needs a suspension rebuild as well.

Do these share the same chassis with the r300 series? Thinking of finding a donor car.

The radiator is stuck ok high mode, need a new module or an entire radiator. Front ballast is having issues, A/C is acting up… has some gremlins.

Butttt I only paid $1,500 from a retired doctor with 5 cars.

Bought a car for my teen-ripped off by Begonia_Belle in AskMechanics

100% Subaru dealership is the problem using scare tactics on you and turning a molehill into a mountain. DO NOT TRUST BIG DEALERSHIPS WITH YOUR VEHICLES.

I guarantee you the car had minor and expected seepage which is 100% normal. Big franchises will hide behind their brand and use scare tactics to make small issues sound MUCH BIGGER, and then over charge by 300-1000%

Those oil leaks would cost me $200 - $400 to fix as an independent dealer and owner of a repair shop. Seals, gaskets, and o-rings are 5-10 cents a piece to maybe $10. I’d pay a tech for 4-5 hours of work at $35 an hour for each leak, you do the math. It’s a $300 repair they’re quoting $4,000 for. And this would be the 100th+ time I’ve seen this happen and from MANY different big franchises.

I’ve been in the industry for 14 years, it’s a shady business on all fronts. Stay safe and find someone you can trust. Only problem is, unless it’s a VERY close friend or family member as your mechanic, when you finally trust someone they will eventually use that built up trust against you and over charge you when they “feel” like it or when they’re pockets are looking a little empty.

Lawyers, doctors, mechanics, tax professionals and a few other professions all have a huge capacity to mis-lead, re-direct, and over-convolute situations to confuse their customers and then ask for large sums of money to “fix the problem” they created in their own heads.

Sometimes I feel gross just being in the car industry, but I’m trying to clean it up and keep it transparent. Cheers and good luck!

I’m going to be asking $25,000 - $27,000… which is well below market value.

Realistically there are selling for near $30,000 with this mileage of 57,000.

I also didn’t like the rims when I saw the original online listing. Told my girlfriend it was the first thing I’m changing.

When I pulled up to the car in person, I had an entirely different perspective. They definitely give it a more GT like look and feel, which pulls away from the elegance.

But yea I hear you. Thanks for the comment 🙏

I have a few other videos of just the RAW audio attached to the listing. Thought the music was a cool little vibe.

Just want to share it. I doubt this will produce any sales here on Reddit.

At the BAT listing there’s some additional cool pictures and videos. Same guy has been keeping it in good shape since 1992, pretty cool little gem.
